Looks like vibe coding is being adopted aggressively @Linear ? I have been seeing so many silly regression bugs everyday - title overlapping with the breadcrumb (fixed) - can't close the tabs you have opened ( only option is to hit cmd + w)

We're finally launching the feature I've always dreamed of as a parent: A real-time, transparent view into your child's academic progress. Available now for every Primer family.

I see many other roles die before design does. Anyone who makes anything meaningful should never outsource design unless it’s very ephemeral, standalone (brand visual, campaign websites) or contained. There is even a path where there is just design and software architects (feel and function), and all the other roles disappear.

DESIGN: THE FIRST AI CASUALTY I'm increasingly sure that 2026 signals the end of product design as a full-fledged stand-alone function within companies. If so, it will be the first role / function to be eliminated by AI on a go-forward basis. Instead of hiring FT designers, startups are hiring / will hire design consultants to create a design system that the founder likes (this takes a few weeks max). Once the design system is finalized, PM/Eng feed it into their AI tool of choice to generate prototypes. The design system is refreshed annually by the same consultant. Larger companies will likely not backfill design roles and will do some targeted attrition to reduce the design department to 20% the size it is today. If you're a designer, I think you have two choices: 1. Become an entrepreneur: Start a design agency and become the go-to resource for design systems for startups and even larger companies. This can be a good recurring revenue business. 2. Become a builder: Add PM/Eng responsibilities to become a product builder. Would suggest you embrace this proactively vs waiting for the other shoe to drop. I'm really sorry about this - some of my best friends and the people I admire most and have learnt the most from are designers - but it seems inevitable.

Apologize today, and bring back Maresca tomorrow. Coaching is utterly out of its depth. Zero goals scored in 4 games. Lost 6 out of the last 7 games. This is not working out. @ChelseaFC

@thenanyu @thenanyu I can probably send you a screenshot if needed, but I would like to have a revert affordance for when Linear Agent doesn't do what I expected it to do. Once it messes up my ticket, there is a 50/50 chance that it will be able to revert to the previous state successfully

@thenanyu @thenanyu feedback: the linear agent affordance goes missing at min. width intentional?

@thenanyu on that note..sorry is there a known issue with uploading videos? It seems to pop up every other week for me. it just enters this infinite upload loop and never gets done uploading- doesn't even fail. not a consistent issue though, but very annoying when it happens.

@scspeier Tried moving away from the "source of truth" figma implementation, and the QA team ended up reporting 183 bugs. Why? The claude prototype had an insane amount of UX flows OR edge cases that were overlooked. Dev implemented it 1:1. Figma file would have mitigated that.

Over the past two months, my most impactful move as a design manager has been encouraging and supporting every designer to start building with Claude Code. Designers used to create a “source of truth” in Figma which was used for QA and accountability.. if anything was wrong, you’d point to the designs and say, “This is how it’s supposed to look.” The designers would take this artifact hand it off to engineers to build another “source of truth” on GitHub that would become the repo where other engineers can fork and build on top of. Now — the designer creates the source of truth on GitHub, and it’s closer to “the designs” because it is the designs. Less gets lost in translation, and everyone speaks in code. Figma remains useful for napkin sketches and quick visual experiments, but we are clearly moving beyond Figma as the primary document. The hardest part is getting set up—it’s daunting and scary leaving the things you love behind. People just need a little bit of emotional support to get started. But after taking the leap, everyone is feeling empowered and excited. They are all literally 10x’ing their productivity. The worst part is that engineers are a bit overwhelmed because they have way more PR’s to review.

@thenanyu I just saw the changelog video for Linear Agent. It is exactly what I was looking for. "Code Intelligence" but as Linear Tickets is what I was asking for I guess

@ft_sidd we have this but its not well surfaced -- if you open the command menu and search for "find suggestions" it will get you what you want I think

@thenanyu Example: we increased upload limit from 10 → 20. We've changed this before (2, 5, 10) and each time different touchpoints broke. When that ticket is created, Linear should surface what broke last time this was touched — so I don't miss a historically overlooked area.

@thenanyu The data is already in Linear. The gap is just surfacing it. When a ticket is created, show me all the related areas that have historically been affected when the XYZ feature was touched. So I know exactly what regression scope to cover before it ships.
