@grumpy_gecko @NMowbray23 Wtf, no it’s not. There are so many hurdles, taxes and costs opening a business in NZ and also to keep it running.

@NMowbray23 New Zealand is one of the easiest places in the world to start a business. Unfortunately we have a government determined to pilot the economy into the ground, so starting a business that remains solvent is much harder.

As Australia makes it harder for founders to build companies, New Zealand should do the opposite. We need to use our more competitive tax settings and agile economy to attract entrepreneurs, retain talent, and encourage people to build globally ambitious businesses here. Thriving companies create jobs, raise wages, drive innovation, and ultimately lift living standards for everyone. A stronger private sector helps fund the healthcare, education, and infrastructure we all rely on.

Why? This goes against what I believe in with AI development, this means you have too heavy processes if you go through a weekly release instead of adhoc when needed. Maybe I’m wrong but IMO a sign of a great development and release process is being able to release with high confidence whenever. And as a user I want more frequent releases, new features and bug fixes.

For Codex, we’ve been thinking about keeping a stable release cadence and have a larger release each week on Thursday. That does make the start of the week and bit less exciting. Thoughts?

@BillWiIdin If the company is clueless on how to run WFH and has slack-jawed middle managers obsessed with busywork instead of measurable KPIs and actual deliverables, then sure, you’re right. Good companies track output, not butt-in-seat time. The rest are just paying for theater.

If you work from home, you shouldn't get a full salary since you're basically Babysitting your own life on company time. If you have time to start a load of laundry between meetings, you’re technically a part-time employee.

DISGRACEFUL: Pete Davidson made a disgusting Charlie Kirk joke at Kevin Hart’s roast. "Tony reminds me of Charlie Kirk, and that's he's definitely been on camera letting a guy unload in his throat.” That wasn’t comedy. That was vile and completely beneath the belt.

This man is in Phoenix, Arizona visiting his daughter. It is 108* there!🥵 He noticed this unit on top of her house and wondered why it isn’t on the ground like most houses. He asked her and she said that was the way it was when they bought the house. Why would this be on top of the roof? I’ve lived in 5 different states and never seen them on the roof. And notice how big it is, it’s huge! Why would they be on the roof? What’s the reasoning? And 108*? Are people really digging a 108* weather? Could you handle that?

A woman was on her daily jog as she always does, not paying attention she feels a swoosh by her, she looks and sees nothing, she keeps going. Shortly after, it happens again, this time she sees what’s going on, according to her, a huge bird mistaken her for a rodent and is trying to make a meal out of her. If I was running and a bird came at me, I don’t think it would be hard to get away, if anything run into a nearby business and let it pass. I would think if it was a big enough bird it would be aggressive but how often are people being mistaken for rodents?

@MissJilianne This is great! Reduces taxes from the state and helps give free entry to locals - a lot of places like this all over the world do this. I cannot really understand the logic in doing otherwise ....

I think it’s disgusting the United States charges $100 per person visiting our country to enter a National Park. Embarrassing too!
