@BrewPack8 Turang isn’t a free agent until 2030, Nico was on last year of control. If he signed an extension today it’s probably in the neighborhood of 6 years $80M.

23.5M per year is a nice contract for him. Unfortunately that would make Turang’s 25-30M (which he’s absolutely worth) but i’m assuming we aren’t going to do that

Nico Hoerner’s deal with the Cubs is done and will be for six years and $141 million, sources tell ESPN. It’s the fourth-largest contract ever for a second baseman and locks up the 28-year-old into the 2030s. Defense, running, contact skill — Hoerner does everything well.
