It’s true, there are several various & vastly different microclimates in Oklahoma. People who have never visited assume that all of Oklahoma is flat prairies. Sure, there is some of that, but there is plenty more diversity in the ecosystems here. I live in Southeast Oklahoma.

@Ravensfell Totally agree. People with health issues like me need to be careful in this heat. But the AC unit is also perfect to keep the fur babies cool.

@fuzifelt 91.4 degrees Fahrenheit is a bit toasty, especially for those among you with health issues and no AC units.

The clouds are trying to build in the distance, in all directions. The attached pic is looking East. Also, look at those flowers popping.. gosh, I sure love them! The weather forecast literally just said 65% chance of rain within the next hour - and I watched it drop to 5% chance before my eyes. Radar *does* show storms developing nearby, so I think I'll continue believing my own eyes + radar over the forecast. I keep saying I'm convinced that forecasts are a social experiment. I see the dragonflies have gotten their wings! There are large feeding swarms of dragonflies here and I love it. They prowl all over for the biting bugs. It's cool watching them in flight, as they often pattern themselves the way groups of flying birds do. They typically seem to fly about around dusk, but I am seeing them right now during mid-day, so guessing they emerged (molted) just today.

Panting stops, he goes back in the garden........... keep rinsing and repeating until the door is closed!!

It's 37°C IN THE SHADE on our patio this afternoon. If you are one of those utter idiots walking your dog you are clinically insane. And cruel. No dog has ever died NOT having a walk... @Ralph_Retriever is keeping cool on his ice mat which has been in the freezer for an hour.

@JohnNicholRAF @Ralph_Retriever Totally agree. It’s been far too warm to take the dogs out today. Teddy has been relaxing in the living room keeping cool and chewing his moose antler. Luckily, we’re fortunate enough to have Air Con.
