Does anyone know a technique (perhaps using OpenCode?) where I can ask multiple models (Opus 4.7, Deepseek, GPT5.5...) to debate a specific coding task? For example, I’d like to say "/debate best way to incorporate a path finding algorithm in the UI" and have each model start discussing what’s best to do, then after one or two rounds of debate, get a clear view of the pros and cons ?

@mattstauffer @joshcirre They still exist and are pretty good if you own good wired headphones! 🙂 It is called DAP, and the main brands I know of are Fiio, Xduoo, Hidizs, Shanling, Ibasso and the very premium Astell&Kern (I used to have 2 Xduoo dap)

@DFintelligence Un mcp en wrapper d'une api c'est effectivement pas hyper utile, perso j'utilise hyper souvent le mcp de mon framework de développement (Laravel), c'est hyper utile pour que les agents utilisent les bonnes documentation, syntaxes, accès DB etc..

Ah ça, c’est fou. Le CTO de Perplexity explique qu’ils n’utilisent pas de MCP. Mais je me suis convaincu d’une chose depuis plusieurs semaines : hormis le MCP de Supabase, je n’utilise pas de MCP. Pourquoi avoir besoin de MCP quand les agents peuvent appeler des API en bash directement ? Avant, je comprenais l’utilité : on était sur des agents dont l’initiative et les tool calls n’étaient pas ultra bons. Mais maintenant, Codex, Claude Code… ils sont tous capables d’appeler la bonne commande bash quand ils en ont besoin ou de démarrer un navigateur. Est-ce que le MCP est déjà mort, vous pensez ?

@dhh Weird take on this, x2 elite is not out yet, x1 is known for weak GPU and I have not seen great results with local LLM and snapdragon on windows and local LLM is the point of the video. And the elephant in the room, Snapdragon x chips do not play well in Linux even after 1.5 year

@AndyH_England @WindowsCentral Th A18pro un the Neo is not a brand new - top of the line CPU, the x plus is weaker in single core (anything will be against apple silicon) but stronger in multi core. Both would be more than enough for the target audience so to me the comparison is valid.

@WindowsCentral This was released nearly two years ago. And is discounted to that price point. Comparing that to a new release is misleading and desperate. Name a Windows laptop released this year at that price.

@WindowsCentral Si I guess they have some room to be more aggressive and competitive depending on the success of the Neo which will be different depending on the countries, here we do not have as much people with iPhones only homes (yet Apple is very very popular with young people) 2/2

Apple just launched a $599 MacBook, and that's bad news for Windows OEMs. Microsoft should probably be panicking. With MacBook Neo, Apple just made a macOS laptop that midrange Windows laptops will have to try and compete with. Even though it only has 8GB RAM, most people won't care if it means jumping ship from Windows to macOS at an affordable price point. You can defintiely find more capable Windows laptops for $599, but when Windows 11's reputation is as bad as it is, could you blame someone for opting for the $599 MacBook instead?

@WindowsCentral I agree it is gonna be tough for OEM, in France where I am with VAT the Neo starts at 699€, for the same price on sale you can get an hp Omnibook 5 14 oled, X plus 512gb, 32gb with great battery life (650€). One shop add 100€ for trade in but it is really unusual. 1/2

Has anybody figured out how to make Claude Code remote stable? It’s pretty unreliable and guaranteed to crash and stop working.

@ryanwebdev Codex is integrated in phpstorm ai chat/agent under Junie and Claude code and you can use a chatgpt subscription to use it without a jetbrains AI subscription, this is how I have been testing Codex lately. For Claude code it unfortunately uses jetbrains ai credits.

What I really want is a PHPStorm Extension to access Codex or Claude Code right from the IDE so I can stop switching between PHPStorm and the terminal.

@DFintelligence @thsottiaux Perso j'avais testé ça thecompanion.sh après un post de @Korben c'était avec Claude mais je crois bien que c'est compatible avec codex. C'est une ui web, pour se connecter a distance un vpn ou tailscale suffit. (Testé avec VPN Freebox et tailscale)

OMMMMMG !!!!!! @thsottiaux il faut ça sur codex stpppppp 👀👀. Genre une app codex qu’on peut connecter à la session de codex desktop ou cli et faire du full remote.

@levelsio I have an LG oled C4 in France and the setting is not locked at all, just another mode to prevent burnin on oled. Even if they are awesome tv to get the best picture quality you still have to change some settings, look at hdtvtest YouTube channel for optimal settings.

So I wondering why my new LG TV was so insanely dark? It's because the EU mandates TV's to lock the brightness to 30-50% of their potential for sustainability reasons aka 🍃 Eco Mode I literally could NOT change the brightness until I dug deep into advanced settings to disable 🍃 Eco Mode It's all so fucking dumb 🤦
