Has anyone noticed that it’s less common for someone to tell you when to go to sleep than it was in the 2000s? It used to happen like every night except for weekends and now it rarely if ever occurs

@SlotTeach @vkrajacic I also made a very job specific app that pretty much only benefits me at my workplace, making a task that usually takes 4 hours take about 10 minutes. Thankfully my bosses dont know.
I think people are really underestimating how many people are building personalized apps nowadays

X is flooded with people advocating for AI and vibe coding, but I see almost no cool demos or anything I can download to improve my daily work.

I watched 2 videos of people disecting Beast Games and the problems of the games in them and what stuck out to me but was largely unsaid was that the whole show seems to hinge on MrBeast viewing humans as greedy backstabbing misanthropes and the games break down when they aren't

@Lux_Stella_ @maiamindel I did a poll asking people what clique they were in high school and it seems that everyone under 65 was able to sort themselves ~ equivalently well. 65 year olds were in high school in the late 70’s, which seems like the ethnogenesis point on this.

@girdley I had a history professor like this. And yeah we despised him. He would take attendance at the start, middle, and end of class to make sure nobody left halfway through. He told us at the beginning of the semester that nothing he taught in class would be on the exam. Worthless

Coworker is trying to paint his wearing cologne (against policy) as his ~bodily autonomy~... and calling someone's complaint about ppl ignoring policy causing their migraines as "bullying" and says he "feels oppressed".

My coworker said he doesn't use the public library because he likes to own the books he reads. I told him he can do both - buy the book and check it out from the library. It helps the library and everyone who uses it as well as helping the author, plus he loses nothing. He was
