@crypto_equality @AutumnRain618 @donutapp Lot of @donutapp users felt let down because donut sent 95% of funds to Genesis from their “Save” plan which was advertised as low risk, highly collateralized, diversified lending.. the diversification claim was just hoax. There was no collateral either.

@ramahluwalia Ram, do you have any clarity on what % would be upfront cash payment to creditors ? If 575M DCG loan due in May is refinanced to 2024, are creditors not going to see any cash this year ? Assuming they don’t succeed to sell Genesis trading .

Note: Whether DCG can IPO in two years is questionable.
Bitcoin needs to recover (halving in 2024), the SEC whom its subsidiary is suing needs to approve the S-1, the DOJ investigation must resolve, and creditor litigation must be resolved.
Also the status of Grayscale’s economics (ETF? Fee compression?) in 2025 is unknown.
But, an IPO, does give a path to accelerated recovery should the stars align for DCG and creditors.

Genesis has voluntarily filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

@MazenHafezBTC @Robinater5 @donutapp The whole Donut story is built with false projection of sense of safety .. the example they gave for what kind of money should be kept in Save plan are the money saved for rainy days , money saved for home purchase etc… the real risk level was always masked from users.
