45 वर्षीय शीतल शादीशुदा हैं। दो बच्चों की मां हैं। कई साल परिवार में जिंदगी बिताने के बाद उन्होंने फिटनेस और “my life my rules” वाली lifestyle अपनाई।

पश्चिम बंगाल की #पानीहाटी सीट इस बार सिर्फ चुनाव नहीं थी… ये सीधा-सीधा खेल था भावनाओं का.
भाजपा ने बड़ी चालाकी से एक मां के दर्द को मुद्दा बना दिया. आरजी कर मेडिकल कॉलेज एंड हॉस्पिटल में जिस लड़की के साथ हैवानियत हुई उसकी मां रत्ना देबनाथ को उम्मीदवारी सौंपकर सहानुभूति की लहर खड़ी कर दी गई.
एक ऐसी मां को उम्मीदवार बनाया, जिसने शायद कभी सोचा भी नहीं था कि उसे इस तरह जनता के सामने आना पड़ेगा
भीड़ आई, आंसू बहे, लोगों ने साथ दिया…और इसी भावनात्मक माहौल में चुनाव जीत भी लिया गया. लेकिन सच्चाई यही है, ये पूरा गेम प्लान था. दर्द को ताकत नहीं, बल्कि हथियार बना दिया गया.
अब देखना ये है कि क्या वो मां, जो अपने जख्मों के साथ विधानसभा तक पहुंची है, वो अपनी ही बेटी को इंसाफ दिला पाएगी… या फिर ये दर्द भी भाषणों और वादों में ही दबकर रह जाएगा.
क्योंकि अगर न्याय नहीं मिला…तो ये सिर्फ एक मां की नहीं,बल्कि पूरे सिस्टम की हार होगी। और तब ये सवाल हमेशा गूंजेगा क्या हम एक मां के आंसुओं को भी राजनीति से बचा नहीं पाए.

पायल ने कहा बच्चों के नाम रखना पूरी तरह उनकी निजी पसंद है. उनका कहना है कि नामों को धर्म से जोड़कर देखना सही नहीं है और हर किसी को अपनी जिंदगी अपने तरीके से जीने का हक है.
साथ ही उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि सोशल मीडिया पर नफरत फैलाना बंद रहो और जो लोग उनके मासूम बच्चों को बद्दुआ देते हैं, जो कि एक महापाप है.

I left for bombay at 6.30 am like the hard working professional that I am & stopped the car at 7 am to make this reel as I’ve long realised that silence is not a virtue & one must speak up when they are disrespected. Yes if wrong things happen at any workplace that are against basic human rights, me & all of us should speak up. I don’t care about the personal trolling, I’m used to it last 5 years since shark tank but the purpose of this reel is to request all the proud Indians in this country to start speaking up when they see something wrong, out of humanity, out of patriotism. Jai hind. Now off to another joyful & complex day at work !
