@BHL In this treacherous world, everything is sold for money.

This statement makes no sense. First, because it praises #Iraq & #Syria which were the incubators of #ISIS. But also because it fails to mention the #Kurds who defeated ISIS at the cost of unspeakable sacrifices. A colossal strategic error and an unforgivable moral failing.

وجهة نظر.. 🎯 ما رأيكم بهذا الكلام؟ ⬇️⬇️⬇️ وداعًا لإقليم كردستان لم يعد الأمر شائعة، ولا تهويلًا سياسيا. إنه توم باراك، مبعوث الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترمب الجديد إلى العراق، الاسم الذي يحمل معه نهاية مرحلة كاملة. الرجل لا يأتي ليرمم الفيدرالية، بل ليدفنها… علنًا، وبلا مجاملات. نحن ندخل زمن الحكومات المركزية في الشرق الأوسط. زمن الأقاليم المنفلتة انتهى، وزمن اللعب على الحبال الدولية شارف على السقوط. إقليم كردستان العراق—ذلك الكيان الذي عاش على فائض الشعارات—لم يعد قادرًا على الاختباء خلف كلمة "فيدرالية". إقليم سرق آبار النفط، وابتلع رواتب الموظفين، ومدّ يده على أراضي المسيحيين الكلدان/ السريان/ الآشوريين، ثم تجرأ ليتحدث عن الشراكة والتعايش! الفساد والعرقية لم تعد عارضًا… بل صارت هوية. وما بُني على الفساد والعرقية لا يعيش طويلا. من يظن أن ما جرى للإدارة الذاتية في سوريا كان صدفة، فهو أعمى سياسيا. باراك أنهى هناك نموذج "الاستثناء"، ويستعد هنا لإنهاء النسخة الأكثر انتفاخًا منه. الرسالة واضحة، وقاسية: لا أقاليم فوق الدولة، ولا نفط خارج الخزينة، ولا جغرافيا تُدار بالعائلة والحزب. القادم ليس تفاوضًا… بل تصفية مرحلة. ومن لا يقرأ الإشارات، سيقرأ النتيجة متأخرا. وداعًا لإقليم كردستان لأنه لم يتعلّم كيف يعيش دون سلوكٍ عرقيٍ وفساد. #العراق

يبدو أن @LindseyGrahamSC معجب بنهج الرئيس @AH_AlSharaa جدا لدرجة تقليده، فالسعي لإصدار قانون لحماية الكُرد خطوة عظيمة لكن متاخرة كثيرا، لان الرئيس الشرع أصدر مرسوماً رئاسياً قبل اسبوعين، وبدأ تطبيقه فوراً، مكفولاً الحماية والحقوق كاملة للاكراد، اقترح التنسيق مع الحكومة السورية لكي لا تهدر الجهود بتكرارها

Today, @SenBlumenthal and I introduced the Save the Kurds Act. I believe that there is strong bipartisan support for the idea of protecting the Kurds in Syria and beyond because they have been such a reliable ally to the United States. The SDF – with a large Kurdish element – took the brunt of the fight to defeat ISIS in President Trump’s first term. I realize Syria is complicated culturally, ethnically and politically. However, attacking the Kurds greatly diminishes the United States’ standing and will hinder Syria’s ability to grow as a country. To those countries or groups who believe it is open season on the Kurds in Syria without consequence, you will be sadly mistaken. lgraham.senate.gov/public/index.c…
