@jarek_pawel @RoryStewartUK Being a TRIPer, I listened to the Audio Book. You are gifted in so many ways and it is UKs huge loss (I'm Irish). I'm very interested in the cover photo, the flick of the jacket and the stride is powerfully dynamic. @cragrats @NPGLondon

@Mirsb85 @ailbeoreilly I'd recommend having a look at preductions for sea level increases before buying anything immediately west of Tralee
English

@ailbeoreilly Killarney has always been on par with (ex Dublin) city prices. The outskirts of Tralee towards the sea are similar these days also, but agreed it’s madness. Until supply picks up it’s only going one way

#NorthernLights #auroreboreale in #Tralee tonight stunning stretched in an arc across the sky colours visible to the eye before dissipating to cover the full sky. @CarlowWeather @AstronomyIRL @radiokerry

@Samtm023 @corkcitycouncil @what_if_cork @MaintainCork @mickfinn01 @sendboyle @cllrkmac That's without even talking about the state of the phoneboxes they still say "eircom" that's how long it has been since any care has been put into them

If @corkcitycouncil aren't going to bother repairing these bollard lights, the least they could do is keep them clean.
How many years of neglect does it take to get a metal structure that GREEN?
Just remove them.

Back in December, I asked the Director of Services, David Joyce @ @corkcitycouncil why these bollard style lights were left decaying and broken all along Oliver Plunkett Street, Cork City's primary shopping street & winner of a "Best Street Award" a few years ago. A thread 👇

@FrankConway2025 If in receipt for a year he will be eligible for community employment and will receive 259.50 for 19.5 hours per week PLUS he can do part time work outside those hours. If 60 or over he can stay on CE until retirement.

Spoke to a lad this evening… worked all his life but lost his job during the pandemic. Trying to get a job. He’s in his early 60s and feels he’ll never get a job despite applying for many.
The government gives him €23 per week. €23!!! He rents in a rural area for €900. He’s living off his savings, which is going to leave him struggling later in life and he worries that he will be unable to meet bills much sooner rather that later, including funeral expenses.
People coming to our country illegally or doing so under false pretences receive more from the government. This lad paid his taxes and gets feck all.

So many great images in the replies and mentions. Delighted so many people managed to capture the Northern Lights tonight and right across the country as far down as Cork and Kerry as these images show.
