@garryz92@prodnose There should be 2 questions
1. Is it deliberate handball?
2. Has a noticeable advantage been gained?
If the answer is yes to 1, yellow card
If the answer is yes to 2, it’s a free kick
Thats what happens elsewhere on the pitch, but the games laws over complicate it
No not a time to "change the law". Law says if you handle the ball intentionally you have committed an offence.
It's that simple.
VAR has decided, like every other aspect of football, to over complicate and confuse what the rules are.
Bunches of jobsworths justifying their jobs.
@henrywinter And the rules do not help as 99% of handballs are accidental. Guarantee if that was a defender he would have awarded a penalty. It helpedhim bring it under control
The problem with the reasoning that the handball was deemed accidental as the ball also came off Bryan Mbeumo’s hip before it hit his arm is that he then controlled it. It didn’t just hit his arm, he trapped the ball, clearly gaining an advantage as he turned and shot. #MUNNFO
@JoeOldfiel13519@BBCMOTD I am a Forest fan and I agree Man Utd deserved to win and also the handball decision has deflected the spotlight totally away from the inept defending by Forest. As a fan however I do think think it should have been disallowed for the good of the game however you interpret rules.
@BBCMOTD stick to analysing this,i will focus on a great attacking performance from united countless chances created 3 goals when this time last yr we couldn't hit a barn door everyone take notice last yr got the attack right now it's the Def/mid over next 2 yrs then we should be ready
I’ve had enough of football
Ive had enough of inept officials on the pitch and in the VAR
VAR state that its handball
Ref over rules and says it’s a perfectly good goal
The game is officially gone

@FutOffsides In this type of situation as players run side by side they are continually going between offside and onside due to the running action of both players so it all depends on which frame is used…
🚨‼️Frame-by-frame analysis of Calvert-Lewin’s potential offside prior to Leeds’ possible penalty.
⚠️In the frame chosen by VAR, he is marginally offside, but there is no evidence that the ball has been played yet.
❌In the next frame, he is ONSIDE.
@EDApps84@_WokeNonsenseFC They are just looking at the main incident that has an impact. Problem is one of the WH players may have got on the end and scored.
@garryz92@_WokeNonsenseFC Completely happy that the goalkeeper was fouled and VAR should have awarded a penalty as at least 2 West Ham players were being fouled. Consistency as usual is non existent and as usual money talks
@BBCMOTD It will not stop it. Holding will still go on so players cant get a run on the ball. Just stop people using thir arms. Like handball they should be in a natural position. It is one thing to block with your body but holding is definitely a foul. Corner yesterday was just chaos
Former assistant referee Darren Cann has suggested a new rule change which means no attackers are allowed in the six-yard box for corners.
What do you think?🤔
@SkySportsPL Its consistency. He is right you dont want to see penalties and fouls every week for holding so stamp out holding consistently. Holding is not blocking.
