Keir Starmer is quietly turning into quite an impressive PM for an international global crisis. Calm, astute and strong when he needs to be. Not that he’ll get any praise for it in the media or on here of course, but he has shown real leadership in an extremely challenging situation.

The greatest Countdown clip of all time. It’s almost too good to be true. You actually couldn’t have scripted it any better. Poor Anne. 😬😭

This is an astonishing fact from today’s Sunday Times. At least 224 out of 257 new Labour MPs elected in July 2024 came from either charities or communications/lobbying agencies, or were formerly “political employees”. It explains so much about Labour backbenchers’ priorities.

Daniel Hannan: 'No one asks for reparations from, say, China (which did not abolish slavery until 1910) or Ethiopia (1942) or Saudi Arabia (1962), because these countries do not encourage the shake-down artists.' 'The resolution was moved by Ghana on behalf of the African Union, which has indicated that it intends to pursue Britain and various European countries through the courts. China, Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia were among the states that backed the motion. So, shamelessly, were North Korea, Eritrea and Mauritania, the three places where slavery is most prevalent today.' Britain should slap sanctions on any country demanding slavery reparations telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/03/2…

'As the document uncovered by The Telegraph makes clear, once the UK transfers sovereignty of the British Indian Ocean Territory to Mauritius, its waters will fall within the scope of the EU-Mauritius fishing agreement.' 😲 'It has raised concerns among conservationists that European trawlers will exploit fish stocks in the 640,000 sq km area surrounding the Chagos archipelago, one of the planet’s largest Marine Protected Areas (MPA), which has been under a Britain-enforced “no take zone” since 2010.' 😡 EU plot to seize Chagos fishing rights after Starmer’s surrender telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/03/2…

"Oh, what's the conspiracy that I'm weaving, Trevor?" Kemi Badenoch and @TrevorPTweets clash over her claims about the "fishy" theft of Morgan McSweeney's phone. The Tory leader adds: "Why didn't McSweeney tell the police that he was the PM's chief of staff?”

I honestly can't believe what I've just watched. Ipswich Town's Chairman spends over three minutes apologising for hosting Nigel Farage. What a colossal wet wipe.

@IpswichTown It’s absurd that he’s had to put this out. It’s because it was Farage and that’s it. If it was a fanatical fruitloop like Polanski; everyone would be lapping it up. Disgraceful.
