@mkristensen less and less every day. I used to think this was critical but over the last month as I have moved more and more into all code written and reviewed by agents, I have found it isn't an issue anymore.

When AI is writing more of your code, how important are code formatting and .editorconfig files to you?

Instead of those trips to Vegas why not turn your attention to trading the stock market? Same rush, more control, less gamble.

@DanMartinezDev @BenLesh I get it. But to be clear I am all for remote work. All I am saying is that I know people that prefer working in the office.

@gbrewer The “bottom rung”? Do you think the lowest paid people at companies want to put miles on their cars, and buy gas, and pay for afterschool care, summertime, daycare, and waste precious time sitting in traffic? I mean, maybe they do, but it wouldn’t be very smart.

@BenLesh Zero chance? I think people on both sides in this argument are being overall general. Everyone is not in the same place.

Honestly, I think a lot of leaders that want people back in offices really just want to have live human beings near them that they’re in charge of. There’s probably a pretty good dopamine hit from that. There’s zero chance that folks on the bottom rung want to be back in office. And people aren’t gonna be more productive if they’re distracted or uncomfortable

If you're writing code every day, here are 3 things to remember: - Don't over-engineering your code - Make it work, then make it pretty - Add safety with tests Software engineering is complex. But your process can be simple. One thing I'd love to see in more projects is tests. And what's more important is the right kind of tests. My tech stack for writing integration tests: - Testcontainers - Docker - xUnit Here's how you can start using it: milanjovanovic.tech/blog/testconta… P.S. Repost this to share these tips with your audience. ♻️
