I was originally frustrated with Danielle Smith’s October 19th referendum question. But I’m starting to see the strategic value. Before, Albertans basically had two choices: Vote yes for independence. Or vote no and stay exactly where we are. Now there is a third option. Fence sitters can vote to have the referendum, send a message to Ottawa, and still make up their mind later. We can take advantage of that strategy! Drying out. In today’s edition of ‘which boots are best to wear whilst swimming in a river?’ I’ve tested my Dr Martens. They were very comfortable, but provided a bit too much drag to be entirely suitable for swimming. They were shiny before, but the leather is looking worse for wear after being soaked in salt water. I’ll keep you posted how they polish up when they’ve dried out.
