HL Vaults were Copy Trading 2.0. Paradex Vaults are the future of On-Chain Investment Management. We’ve built v3 for Crypto Vaults, taking what Ribbon (v1) and HL (v2) started and evolving it into something far more powerful: 1. Spot, Perps and Options in a Single Vault Previous vault versions were limited to single-assets and strategies. A Paradex vault can seamlessly combine spot, perpetual futures (perps), and options strategies in one vault, allowing users to diversify exposure without needing to manage separate vaults or accounts. This also means Paradex Vaults can accept multiple collateral types, such as BTC and ETH, in addition to USDC. Adding spot and options to vaults unlocks an entirely new design space for yield generation—something we’ve not yet seen in DeFi. 2. Super Capital Efficient (Portfolio Margin) Paradex is the first on-chain DEX to offer portfolio margin. This means that offsetting positions (long BTC, short perp), will require significantly less margin which means users can trade larger sizes with less capital. This is a game-changer for Defi, unlocking MAX leverage across complex portfolios. 3. Vault LP tokens can be used as Collateral! Every vault depositor receives an LP token for their share in the vault. What’s notable here is that the Protocol will launch a delta-neutral vault (long spot, short perp). The LP token from this specific vault will be granted synthetic dollar/collateral status —a form of native yield. This means that users can use this synthetic dollar to deposit into other vaults or as collateral fro trading on the platform!!!💥💥. This essentially makes Paradex Vaults an on-chain version of Ethena where the LP token (sUSDE equivalent) can be utilized within the platform to compound yield and further trade without needing to move your assets off-platform. 4. Order Privacy (No Front-Running): Paradex’s order-book is off-chain which means that Vault and Account orders are protected from front-running. This is pretty big improvement as front-running has been a significant pain point for vault operators, including notable names like who previously closed vaults in part, due to front-running. 5. No Market Dumping on Withdrawals (Efficient Withdrawals) We’ve built a withdrawal mechanism that ensures your positions aren’t market-dumped on withdrawal requests. Instead, withdrawals are processed through a temporary auxiliary account, letting users control the pace of an exit. This has two main benefits: 1) reduced slippage + more control for the user 2) slippage is not unfairly shared by other vault market participants 6. Configurable Fee Share: This is one of the smaller improvements, but Paradex Vault owners can configure fee shares from 0-30% ----------------- Roadmap: Phase 1: Perps Only – launching in Sep Phase 2: Options with Portfolio Margin – Nov/Dec Phase 3: Spot with Multi-Collateral and Auto-Borrow/Lend – Dec/Jan
