@peterschacherl Did exactly this for two of our apps, the performance of Workers with PlanetScale and Hyperdrive in between is insane

I had some trouble setting up Better Auth, but now it looks good. Connecting all these tools can sometimes be a bit of a mess - in my case, Better Auth with Drizzle via PlanetScale + Hyperdrive so everything is compatible with Cloudflare.

Moved an app to Cloudflare from self-hosting because of performance and the need for high availability. And since I'm using Cloudflare stuff like R2, I can simplify my life with bindings. Also, @PlanetScale via Hyperdrive is insane.

the company with access to infinite ai tokens is unable to use it to develop a successful public relations strategy it's not even neutral, they just keep randomly self-owning for no reason reminder of what kind of "intelligence" LLMs have

Your PostgreSQL database is hitting the wall. Current state: - db.r5.8xlarge (32 vCPU, 256GB RAM) - 2TB of data - 15,000 queries per second - Read/write ratio: 85/15 - 3 read replicas already at 70% CPU - Connection count: 2,400 (max 5,000) - Slowest query: a reporting JOIN across 4 tables (12 seconds) - Adding a 4th read replica helped for 2 weeks. Now you're back to struggling. Your options: 1. Add more read replicas 2. Implement read-through caching (Redis/ElastiCache) 3. Move to Aurora with auto-scaling replicas 4. Shard the database 5. Move reporting queries to a separate analytics DB Traffic is growing 20% month-over-month. Whatever you pick needs to last at least 6 months. What's your scaling strategy?

Vercel dropped agent skills for React best practices and it changed how I build So I made one for the @tan_stack ecosystem Best practices for TanStack Query, Router, and Start - packaged as agent skills for Claude Code and Cursor It's not official, I just built it because I needed it. But it's been incredibly useful Grab it below 👇

if you manage a team how would you feel in a scenario where the weakest member is spending the most on LLMs like they're spending $2k a month or something

@thdxr Should this stream responses in Web, when the prompt was fired from the TUI? For me it only shows after a refresh

we may be in a world of skills, MCP and better tool calling, but knowledge cut-offs are still back in 2025: Jan for Gemini 3, May for Opus, Aug for GPT 5.2. makes introducing new things hard. I’ve had models actively fight me when building on TanStack and PlanetScale.

@geiselmann I'm aware! not everything fits in a tweet: it wanted to swap to Neon entirely. (I don't vibe code though and prefer a robust planning stage, so I corrected it. It tried pretty hard though!)

specifically: TanStack has moved quickly but there is just so little knowledge in the corpus. Opus has tried to tell me that PlanetScale doesn’t offer Postgres and planned to install the serverless driver of a competitor (!).

Who cares about optimising database queries when you have planetscale. | Metric         | Neon  | PlanetScale | |-------------------------|--------|-------------| | DB queries (P50 total) | ~850ms | ~15ms    | | getPanelData (P50)   | 4.07s | 150ms    | | getPanelData (P90)   | 5.36s | 839ms    |

@AnthropicAI I will stop using third-party apps with my Claude Code Max sub if you FIX the freaking terminal flickering bug when working with CC. You may want to ask @thdxr how to fix it. 😉
