65 years ago, at only six years old, Ruby Bridges made history as one of the first Black children to integrate an all-white school in the South.   Ruby’s act of bravery inspired America and paved the way for other African American children across the country.   I am proud to declare today, November 14, as Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day.
