Russia doesn’t want peace. And sadly they have convinced a large portion of MAGA that it’s Ukraine that doesn’t want peace. It’s the opposite. People in Ukraine want this war to end. Why would anyone want to wake up every single night to the sound of air raids and ballistic missiles? I barely slept when I was there because the sound of the alarms gave me anxiety. Can you imagine dealing with that for 5 years? Ukraine doesn’t even have Patriot missiles to defend against ballistic missiles being fired by Russia into residential areas. To be fair, the US has a shortage of these missiles so it’s hard for us to supply them. You can thank Joe Biden for the shortage. People in Ukraine want peace. I met with Zelenskyy and he said many times to me he wants the war to end and even though Putin has tried to kill him many times, he will meet with him at the White House or any location to sign a deal. Every night I went to sleep in Ukraine, I wondered, “what would happen if Russia fired a ballistic missile at my hotel tonight while I was sleeping”. That’s what goes through the mind of every Ukrainian when they put their head on their pillow. Except they don’t have the option to leave. We need to dispel this false idea that Ukraine doesn’t want to end the war. I used to say that too. Then I went there and saw the devastation for myself and I was so wrong. I couldn’t have been more wrong.

@JeffMacSabby Pearson is overcrowded and an organizational mess. The people who say “other developed countries have high speed rail” are the same people who don’t acknowledge that other big cities have multiples airports.

I'm wondering why people can't just fly out of Pearson. It's a ~25 min train ride to downtown from there.
