@panoskarabelas @NickBuckleyMBE I think the only way to "fix" this is to have children, raise them the best you can and work hard to survive as long as you can. Hope that you pass down a good set of values. If enough people do that maybe over time (We are talking centuries), humanity wakes up to a good future.

It's not just VFX, but art direction in general.
Cinematography, production design, shot design, have all declined.
If you've worked in production you know why. It's because people who don't understand the process are in charge now and have no patience for anything.

To everyone wondering out loud why modern VFX movies don’t look as good as ones from long ago - the entire industry is on a decade+ run that’s put them on the brink of exhaustion and in a lot cases, bankruptcy. You don’t do your best work tired and on your heels for 10 years.
