Happy 420 Day.
As always, we celebrate the 53rd anniversary of when Gail & Dale sang "One Toke Over the Line,” on Lawrence Welk.
Neither knew what the song was about. Welk thought the song was a “modern spiritual.”
Tomorrow the internet would have us believe we are celebrating a century of selfless duty. Happy 100th.
While the feeds flood with manufactured tributes to a life of service, let us remember the ultimate service: seven decades of shamelessly exempting private wealth from inheritance tax while the public purse was drained to fund the upkeep of opulent palaces.
True noblesse oblige would have been paying the same taxes as the rest of us instead of hoarding a fortune at the expense of the British taxpayer.
The crown is nothing more than a symbol of systemic greed.
