In January, the European Council empowered the Commission to provisionally apply the Agreement as from the first ratification by a Mercosur country. Over the last weeks, I have discussed this intensively with Member States and the EP. On that basis, the Commission will now proceed with provisional application.

Görüşmede, Türkiye-AB ticari ilişkilerine dair değerlendirmelerde bulunduk ve AB ile ticaret gündemimizin öne çıkan konuları arasında yer alan Sınırda Karbon Düzenlemesi Mekanizması, e-ticaret, yetkilendirilmiş yükümlülerin karşılıklı tanınmasına yönelik çalışmalarımız ve bu gibi konularda görüş alışverişinde bulunarak, bu alanlardaki iş birliğimizi daha da geliştirme konusundaki irademizi ifade ettik.
