Bias for truth. I follow people who engage in respectful, constructive debate... preferring those with opposing views.

@r3dh34d_1976 @pintospotatoes @CaptMarkKelly Islam is a religion; Islamism is a political project. Many religious texts contain illiberal, violent passages. Liberal democracy depends on whether modern believers treat them as binding law, historical context, metaphor, superseded doctrine... Muslim interpretations vary.

@gerb_sam @pintospotatoes @CaptMarkKelly islam and islamism are inseperable. i know that a lot of those people are secular, but that doesn't help the many many people that are being murdered for not being muslim. find a moderate and tell them you stopped being a muslim, see how far their tolerance goes

When a group of people all work together toward a common goal, nothing is impossible. Artemis II is a perfect example of that. Last week they proved again that America’s diversity is our strength.

@r3dh34d_1976 Fair point: “abandoned office” is disputed. Yanukovych claimed he fled under threat and remained president. Parliament claimed he had stopped performing his duties after leaving Kyiv and losing effective authority. Messy internal crisis? Yes. Russian right to invade/annex? No.

@r3dh34d_1976 Who's he a puppet for? I think he'd befriend just about any nation who'll help arm him against Putin. And he's approached many. Trump made it clear that the US would not be a reliable partner...so he's not the puppet-master.

@r3dh34d_1976 “Some locals wanted it” is not the same as democratic legitimacy. The question is whether the process was lawful, free, secure, and independently observed...or whether Russia used, armed, and backed local separatism as political cover for territorial aggression.

@wakenminds "No degree" doesn't mean no training & no credentialing. Cathedrals were built through guilds, apprenticeships, & master builders...transmitting knowledge/skills & protecting incumbents. Modern construction is similar: some barriers prevent disasters; others protect the guild.

@r3dh34d_1976 I'm aware of Pelosi's role (one shared with Mitch McConnell) and what she said before and after the riots. I think you've overstated her actions, imagined a motive, and seem to be deflecting the fact that participation was overwhelmingly Trump supporters. youtube.com/watch?v=CJuNHI…

@gerb_sam pelosi was responsible for the security that day, she haD the final word. she refused to place even a moderately acceptable amount of officers there that that... practically inviting conflict, especially with the fbi instigators (and 'anti'fa too) amongst that crowd

@hlarryious @MarzMerco @AbraarKaran It can shortcut hours of research and writing. But it adds back the need to double check key facts. I still see a net gain from using it. However, expecting it to be correct when pushed for speed or to solve novel problems is just asking for trouble.

@gerb_sam @MarzMerco @AbraarKaran the demand for “freshness” is causing the models to publish nonsense, without verification and people thinking they can write using it are causing useless articles and texts to be published with fake information inside using your own research skills is the best way to stay safe

@gerb_sam @hlarryious @AbraarKaran It helps to discuss personal assumptions towards all publicized knowledge in these. Avoids a lot of false beliefs or thoughts out of the proper context. Next to the AI agent bit older internet database, you have to demand a present internet search about the latest details.

One of the more concerning parts of this #Hantavirus (? Andes Virus) outbreak is that Case 2 boarded a flight while symptomatic (she died the day after the flight). Contact tracing is now ongoing for fellow passengers. A recent Andes Virus outbreak was published in NEJM outlining person-person transmission from Nov 2018 to Feb 2019 in Argentina. The table below shows the range of incubation periods. Over 50% (19/34) had incubation periods of more than 3 weeks. nejm.org/doi/full/10.10…

@magattew Directionally useful, but too simple. Regulation hurts if it means delay, bribery, or arbitrary enforcement. But conflict, corruption, weak courts, debt risk, & poor infrastructure may matter more. Lender “conditions” are often repayment safeguards, not random overregulation.

This is what people don't understand about poverty in Africa.  It's not a people problem. It's a soil problem.  And the soil is overregulation.

@MarzMerco @hlarryious @AbraarKaran 2) AI search algorithms prioritize authority and E-E-A-T (Expertise, Experience, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness) An extreme demand for "freshness" can force the model to look at the only places where data moves that fast: social media and unverified real-time feeds.

@MarzMerco @hlarryious @AbraarKaran A couple thoughts (one at a time): 1) revealing personal assumptions might simply be accelerating an AI propensity toward sycophancy. You want it to push back, not anticipate what you'll accept as fact.

@alphafox I have kids and grandkids...and there's nothing in life I like better than that. However, not everyone is motivated by the same things. I'm not endorsing her (admittedly selfish) logic for her own choices, but one might call fulfilling a desire to have kids a selfish act.

@Humble_Gardener @AbraarKaran Sorry. You acted like someone had picked the perfect timing for a pandemic...and started blaming Israel for control of our leaders...I guess I took that too far. I'll wait the evidence to emerge and some court cases rather than try to solve a crime myself by scouring the web.

Except that I did not propose to argue that, "Israel controls the release of the next pandemic." And, otherwise, not only are there such reports from confidential human sources, evidence of Epstein owning Mossad merchandise, but it was also shown to be the case that Israel's former prime minister had his security service manage Epstein's apartment so he could come and go from the notorious pedophile's apartment safely. "Based on a tranche of emails recently released by the United States Department of Justice, the report detailed how Israeli officials coordinated directly with Epstein’s staff starting in early 2016 to secure a residence at 301 East 66th Street. Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak frequently used the apartment for extended stays." aljazeera.com/amp/news/2026/…

@BBD4517 @RestrictedDaily It is your business, but it seems fatalistic. So, I hope you do find logical reasons not to risk it. At the very least. there's beauty in nature & the consciousness to perceive it. Expressing gratitude for what we have and helping others both create a positive spiral.

@wakenminds The early medieval period involved real disruption after Rome, but calling the whole Middle Ages ‘the Dark Ages’ is sloppy. This is the Reims Cathedral. High Gothic...begun in 1211 and largely completed in the late 1200s, so it more accurately fits in the High Middle Ages.

This man, who claims to be a home inspector, shows something he's never seen before. A 3 story twisty yellow tube slide that goes from the second story living area, all the way into the basement of a house. It's a sure bet that this wouldn't pass code. And by the sounds of things he's not sure what it's for. But it's there and clearly somebody thought it would be a good idea to install. What do you think it's being used for? Is this just an amusing kid friendly home addition by an eccentric parent? Or are they using this for something else? If so, what could it be used for?

@CajunCybertruck @MarioNawfal @elonmusk Well, he doesn't have a >50% interest in TSLA, but I don't think anyone else has as much influence, or as much at stake in the company. His own target of 25% seems to be sufficient control for him to commit to continued hands-on growth in the company.

One of Elon's most vocal critics just bought a Cybertruck. Brian Krassenstein, who has spent years publicly clashing with @elonmusk, announced the purchase yesterday. His reason had nothing to do with politics. He has a young family and the Cybertruck is the only pickup truck in America to hold both an IIHS Top Safety Pick+ award and a perfect 5-star NHTSA rating simultaneously. When your fiercest critics are buying your product because the data leaves them no choice, that's a different kind of win.
