I feel like we are days away from home plate umpires simply refusing to acknowledge ABS challenges. They’ve never been held to account in front of a small group of calm reporters, let alone 40,000 rabid fans. There’s no way they can handle this.

You may have caught Friday when Matt Olson tried to challenge a strike call and home plate umpire Doug Eddings wouldn’t allow it. Olson said Eddings told him he took too long of a delay before the challenge. Olson fine with it, said ABS continues to be a learning process for all.
