@MargauxPeckLaw @WestJet Don’t forget that WestJet stranded people a year ago when maintenance went on strike. Their response was abysmal and refused to rebook passengers, including me and my daughter, on other airlines even though air canada had a flight within 2 hours of departure with seats available.

Let’s never forget that when Air Canada was shut down, the other airlines didn’t help. They instead price gouged Air Canada’s customers. You could have gained customers for life, instead you price gouged them 4-5X the fare value. @WestJet this is despicable and short sighted.

@John06601824 @WestJet Thankfully, my flight originates in the UK where they take passenger protections much more seriously. I agree that our protections don’t go near far enough (as is currently being put on full display). AC is trying to deny that UK law applies. They are wrong.

@ottawasuncom I have the same issue but am stuck in Toronto. I tried to get home to Seoul. Had a direct flight for Wednesday, but it was canceled, and now my flight is on Saturday, going to Osaka, then Seoul. They also canceled my flight after the tentative agreement was made.

@AirCanada Flight was cancelled yesterday. My flight was not rebooked because all flights were full and im stranded for 5 days without a flight home . I expect to be reimbursed for this as air canada failed to rebook me home. This is not okay.

@StandingHannah @AirCanada Yah we are seeing crazy high prices too. Which we can’t afford with a group of us. Trying to enjoy the last days of our holiday but has this ever made it stressful. Are you seeing options through air Canada? Have you spoke to them directly at all?

Our @AirCanada flights are cancelled. Which isn’t a surprised or the end of the world. I’m happy to stay in Paris longer. What is weird is Air Canada rebooked our connection from Montreal to Ottawa with no mention or though to the Paris to Montreal part of the trip.

@AirCanada one of the worst customer service I waited for 6.5 hrs to get thru their call center and the lady Kate threatened to put us back on hold when we asked her to accommodate on the flight to Toronto as it was cancelled by air canada!

Fuck you Air Canada, you’ve cost our family over 2k to make changes with flights, car rental and hotels….still not home! When asking AC help desk about compensation, response was “sorry, read the law” Pay your employees, but also compensate the rest of us ffs! #aircanadastrike

We never heard anything after (that was three days ago). Have tried contacting them numerous times with no success. We’ve slowly been making our way home on our own!

First offer was for Wednesday, via Washington DC, having to change airports. Next is now with a layover of over 8 hours. I booked business, because I need it for the return flight. They offer economy, overnight, with 3 stops, and the layover. I could get a much better connection, but they will not answer the phone.
