@chamath so we spent 10 years building tools to eliminate meetings and now the breakthrough insight is... we need better meetings to tell the AI what to do?

To be productive in a world of AI and agents, the most important new system is the system of record that helps teams work together to design and agree on intent and context. This is the necessary guardrail for AI and agents to get past demos and reliably make production quality code. This is where Software Factory shines. Try it here: 8090.ai

Overestimating Clawdbot: “it will fix my entire life overnight” Underestimating Clawdbot: “it’s just a chatbot” Reality: it quietly does the 37 things you’ve been “about to do” since Tuesday.

we have greatly improved memory in chatgpt--it can now reference all your past conversations! this is a surprisingly great feature imo, and it points at something we are excited about: ai systems that get to know you over your life, and become extremely useful and personalized.

@sturmtank Even that, though, looks nerdy. I'm thinking of something so easy anyone can do it and not get scared off by the terminology. Like Slack. It's easy to get Slack up and running and not scary with a lot of weird terms.

I'm talking with business owners about AI and how they would like to use it. Getting a few questions like this: "I have a small Intranet, with a bunch of PDFs, videos, slide decks, word docs, spreadsheets, and a variety of other files. How do I build an AI/chat bot easily and cheaply that can look at all that and then build a new Intranet so that I and my employees can chat with all that to find and generate new marketing and other plans. Oh, and I am not an expert on AI and I don't have one. Which company is best for doing all that?" @bindureddy and @abacusai comes to mind but sending these people to her website is scary, lots of nerdy terms that typical business people get turned off by, and seems to be built for a team that understands AI already. Who out there is helping small to medium sized businesses get into the AI world fast? I'm looking to do interviews with founders who are building said companies. Tomorrow I'm interviewing Bindu and will spend most of the interview talking to those people. Case study? @scottevest makes my clothes, has a small team, with tons of media and these kinds of files, along with email and other tech running their business and customer service, and I'd love to be able to tell Scott, and similar business people, about a new system that's easy to use, powerful, and really assists his business. He's not a computer scientist or an AI person beyond he uses ChatGPT and Siri occassionally to help with writing marketing copy and business plans for new business lines. @benparr you've been building AI chatbots for businesses for years. Are we there yet where a business person can just easily hook up to all their technology and file stores and have it bring real value without having consultants or high up front costs? If so, would love to hear more.

Microsoft just changed the game! 🔥 They've open-sourced bitnet.cpp: a blazing-fast 1-bit LLM inference framework that runs directly on CPUs. Why is this a game-changer❓ You can now run 100B parameter models on local devices with up to 6x speed improvements and 82% less energy consumption—all without a GPU! The future we've been waiting for: fast, efficient, and private AI that works anytime, anywhere.✨ Link to the GitHub repo in next tweet! _____ Find me → @akshay_pachaar ✔️ For more insights and tutorials on AI and Machine Learning!

I'm finding that I like to look up people I meet (or am meeting) on @perplexity_ai... it's pretty good! Probably a better summary than my own website. can we get an integration @vimcal?

The last @PracticalAIFM episode really maps out the problem we are solving well: "It’s a different context from a personal user. ... If it’s not their own data, it’s their customers’ data. Using a public API ... poses a huge concern and risk." youtu.be/-uDvkiEipYg?si…

@Thom_Wolf Agree that on-device and decentralized is the future, and this is ridiculously fast, but it really becomes a lot more useful when it is integrated with your data.

a 3.25B params quantized gemini running locally in coming Google Chrome with less than 100ms latency while using less than 2GB of ram that's less ram usage than many of my current Chrome page already use (my slack is using 4.8GB as I type this) no doubt LLMs will be integrated everywhere in our world, from browsers to TV, to appliances, to Raspberry-Pi, to increasingly simpler and simpler devices as the tech is perfected and what I'm most excited about is that they're all going to run locally, on-device, fast, decentralized
Morten Just@mortenjust

This is fast. Chrome running Gemini locally on my laptop. 2 lines of code.
