Episode 19: Crossing Streams In this episode, we sit down with @markheynen and James Cantwell from the #AIforAdvisors podcast for a special crossover episode. We went straight at the questions #wealthmanagement can’t dodge anymore: the real bottlenecks slowing #AI adoption, why #vibecoding won’t magically replace #wealthtech, and what #AIagents actually look like when they’re executing across systems, plus a lot more. 🎬 YouTube: youtube.com/watch?v=ilseGZ… 🎬 X: x.com/zerobps_podcas… 🎧 Apple Podcasts: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/epi… 🎧 Spotify: open.spotify.com/episode/1aOjvp…

💬 “The compliance people are gonna start using these tools, and we’re gonna see a lot more adoption.” @markheynen shares what he’s hearing firsthand from compliance teams and where the hesitation really comes from. Like many, we were fascinated this past week by the effectiveness of #Clawdbot / #Moltbot / #OpenClaw , but found it scary and hard to use for non-technical users. So we updated our Mac desktop app to enable a safe implementation -- and open-sourced it for the world. Have a look here. I will be sharing more videos of it in action. It's super cool. Try today and upvote us on @ProductHunt (M1+ machines only for now.)

@OptimumHelp we have been trying to port out my parents and your help desk is refusing and continually asking promotional questions. This is horrible service at best, and illegal at worst.

Released our first episode of "AI for Advisors" last night, and it is already #1 on Spotify. ...among all other podcasts I have produced. 😉 Listen here for more on the intersection of AI & money: open.spotify.com/episode/2eIo2j…

@pitdesi @StellarOrg More to the point, even if your cousin (who is no doubt in rural India) never got a bank account, he could travel for just over an hour to a Moneygram location in Jodhpur to cash out your funds instantly. I think that's magic. 🪄💸

I led @StellarOrg on/off ramp initiatives for several years -- and I agree. But India is actually not the best benchmark -- its green in Wise's chart, demonetization has banked many folks, it has UPI, etc. But on/off ramps globally (esp cash) play a huge role: stellar.org/blog/foundatio…

Wild helicopter crash in the Hudson. Looks like it came apart mid-air, it’s missing the tail and rotor. How could that happen? 6 passengers all died 😢

The reason this area is so underdeveloped is that it is actually three intersecting problems: - data privacy - data search (via RAG unless you have a massive context window like @chamath suggests) - usability, (specifically supporting a lot of use cases well, like needle in a haystack, idea generation, and agentic workflows). The AI trilemma if you will. @Dropbox tried with Dash, @Google tried with NotebookLM, and yes, tons of roll your own. No one has nailed all three factors. We dug into this at @getknap and built a private solution with RAG and zero data retention. We found limiting the use case helped nail all 3. We do have an Easter egg command to grab all data and run open ended queries. DM me if you want to dig in.

What is currently the best solution for turning a large collections of personal notes and chats into an LLM-interrogable dataset? It seems like most off-the-shelf options can't keep context at scale.

@PalmerLuckey Data Security should be a massive consideration! Need your own cloud/servers How will you update the DB or live-synch? (Risks) Open Source Y/N ? List all your info types eg what chats what notes etc etc Who’s using it & how? Many solutions but needs clear scope etc

The truth is you don’t know who has access to what, whether it’s hosted closed or open source inference. And leaks are inevitable. That is why the best answer is cloud inference with zero data retention and local storage. This is how we architected @getknap — specifically for financial data.

@PalmerLuckey I uploaded an year of accounting data to find waste and places where i could optimise cost using grok. It was quite insightful and was able to interrogate as i would do a real accountant

@eternalblad3 @PalmerLuckey I had pro until recently and projects were still limited to 20 files. I’m not sure if the playground can do more than that.
