Why? He thinks Tamils cannot compete with the rest of India? Or he thinks they shouldn’t go out of state for education? There should be a national benchmark exam so the mobility and competency of education is ensured. Here in the US all high school students take ACT/SAT. In OHIO all schools administer ACT to all graduating seniors free of cost. It is important to ensure quality higher education.

K. Annamalai dismantled the entire DMK narrative in one straight shot. Mughals failed. The East India Company failed. Missionaries spent centuries trying to break Sanatana Dharma and failed. Yet Udhayanidhi Stalin thinks a staged political speech can erase a civilization that survived invasions empires and colonial rule.
The bigger shame is that ministers of a government sworn to protect Hindu temples stood there applauding hatred against the very faith their department administers. This is not social justice. This is open political hostility towards Hindu traditions dressed up as progressive politics.
Tamil Nadu has watched this mindset for years. The rest of India is finally seeing it live.

Please read this with an open mind. MK tried hard to portray MGR as a Malayali, mentioning there cannot be two Keralas within India, and even pulled a mini Seeman with his "Thamizhnaadu Thamizharukke" campaigns.
All such identity targeting only made people love MGR more. They'd already accepted him as one of their own, so anything that targets his identity was viewed as needless harassment that had to be overcome with more love from the masses. People kept voting MGR as a CM until he passed.
Similarly, H Raaja's "Joseph Vijay" comments eventually worked to Vijay's favor. Any criticism that targets his identity will be met with more love for him from the masses. That's just how it is.
If you want to criticize the man, criticize his actions, not his identity. Learn from history, or repeat it. Your choice.

Tamils won't care about Vijay being Christian (on paper) just like they didn't care about MGR being ethnic Malayali. Their aura transcends these petty matters. People from other states won't get this. And engagement beggars will pointlessly use it for their payouts.

I cannot believe the Supreme Court is still using the Western constructs of religion 75 years after independence. The British coined this “Hinduism is not a religion but a way of life” to fool Hindus. Because, if they can dub it with “it’s not a religion” it’s easy to convert them. All religions have way of life built into it. It’s time India comes out of these colonialist narratives #ColonizedMinds not all religions have same parameters some differ from the western framework of religion, especially the ancient religions like Hinduism.
