This is what the future of design looks like. Not just this specific tool¹, but the fact that every team in the world is now is empowered to build their own 'design factory'.
Shader Lab was built with Claude Code, @threejs, @nextjs, and @vercel. To the exact needs, vision, and specification of @basementstudio.
Every time we work on a project with them, we get a glimpse of an arsenal of internal tools they've deployed. Some built specifically for a project, some more general purpose.
It's now easier to generate software re-assembling powerful building blocks, than searching and procuring the right SaaS for the job.

Find your squad; squads are the container for the renaissance of good technology. Go to meetups, host hackathons, find people with shared worldview and complementary skills, and squad solidarity together. The best time to squad up was yesterday, the second best time is today.

i wanted to ship something at Notion before tweeting too much, and now that dashboards shipped, i just wanna say - i feel so lucky to work here.
i'm growing, i'm supported, i'm pushed. the designers are funny, i laugh so much every day. the leadership is really incredible, and the office is really beautiful. i'm excited to go to work in the morning. that's ikigai!

when I first moved to LA, I had no idea where creative people like me hung out. felt like I was on a lonely island living on the west side of the city (Silicon Beach), heard rumors the echo park / silver lake side of things had more of a creative vibe with entertainment and ad agencies.
so I solved my own problem and started the @LADesignDev Slack + IRL meetups. our next one is April 9th! see you there.
