@CorpseKings It is not a shield, boy, it is a weapon that you are holding in there. It is not a +2 item either. Depending on the shield it can give disadvantage against a single target (buckler), Pavise shields offered cover to you and a couple of other people, they offer so many options.

@cpt_w_beard @memeslich Which no one does, I haven't seen many people run several encounters per day. I have ran several encounters per day, but my players save their spells when it matters which makes no difference, martials usually go down before I've spent 1/4 of my spell slots.

@gmNoxPrime @memeslich It really depends how the campaign is set up. Sure if you get a long rest between each and every encounter Wizards and sourcerers are very op. But if you dont martial classes catches up fast.

@gmNoxPrime If you roll max dmg sure, at lvl 5 fighting enemies your level 1 fireball won’t get the job done, hitting a bunch of enemies is of course great but the less enemies you fight the worse fireball is, an extra attack is always incredibly valuable
