My hope is this simple video will encourage & inspire assistants all over the world to see themselves as LEADERS & give them language to use to communicate the tremendous value they bring to their executives & organizations. #AssistantsLEAD (Illustration + Video by @aaraalto)

@levie @random_walker New rule: any ceo who claims work can be fully done by ai needs to immediately let go of their executive assistant. Oh so you’re telling me it can do the job of a software engineer that builds schedulers but not that of a scheduler?

I genuinely don’t understand how the guy who is clearly the best in the majors at seeing the zone from behind the plate has the worst plate approach in the majors.

something i've noticed: AI agents create a weird new kind of burnout. esp for young people. a lot of ambitious 22 year olds are going to think the answer is simple: - spin up more agents - ship more code - sleep less - outwork everyone and for a while, it will feel incredible. you can keep multiple agents running, feed them tasks, review outputs, fix mistakes, make decisions, and keep the whole loop moving. the problem is that the work no longer drains you through typing. it drains you through judgment. More attention. More context switching. More verification. More decisions per hour. so instead of 8-10 normal productive hours, you might get 4-5 extremely intense hours before your brain is fully cooked. and you feel numb until you sleep properly and reset some of my friends are already burnt out. they don't say it out loud but i can tell. the agent can keep working 24/7. the human still has a hard limit

Today we released our new AI Fluency Rubric. We use it for every hire, focusing on what they’ve actually built. Last May we open-sourced V1. Hundreds of companies used it to screen candidates and develop teams. It worked. But the floor moved fast. An updated look at the 3 levels of AI fluency at @Zapier: 1. Capable: "I use AI to operate at a meaningfully higher level." 2. Adoptive: "I orchestrate AI and build systems that elevate how I work." 3. Transformative: "I re-engineer how work happens." We evaluate theses across 4 dimensions: Mindset, Strategy, Building, and Accountability. We're sharing V2 publicly for the same reason we shared V1: every company needs a framework for this, and most don't have one yet. Don’t see your role? I’m cashing out all of the productivity gains from AI by working less, and it’s really starting to change my life I rarely work past noon, because there’s simply nothing left to do. I do wake up earlier though because I’m so excited to get to work I’m exercising more than I ever have in my life. Every afternoon either weightlifting, running, hiking, or paddle before the kids get home I get a massage every week, and sauna twice a week, spending hours there with friends each time. The level of self care I’m doing is ridiculous. I’m almost too relaxed My wife and I have a date night every week, our marriage is better than ever, and we decided to have a third kid, a son due in June I have so much free time I’m starting to have to make up projects. I’m helping my friend start a nonprofit to promote local innovation and sustainability in our small Mexican town. Using Claude code to do all the writing, planning, and build a website for it I’m spending more time talking to friends and family on FaceTime than ever in my adult life. I’m helping my parents and siblings with their work, heath, finances, and random problems, often using AI Our social life is more active than even my teens or twenties, with at least 2-3 parties, dinners, or other gatherings each week. Everywhere I go in town I see people I know We travel more often than ever, and take more vacation time than ever, though vacations are not as fun as the normal routine The business is more profitable than ever, with a smaller team and less overhead. I’m able to pay my team better than I ever have. In no way is the business suffering I say all this not to brag, but to show that there is another option for what to do with all the time and effort that AI frees up: you can pull back and live a more chill, social, connected life like humans were meant to This is all due to AI, not because I got any smarter, wiser, or more productive. AI opens up new paths, but it’s still up to you to decide which one to take

Super Bowl ticket prices have fallen 50% since Championship Sunday, but have held the last 12 hours. Lowers get-in now $4,313. Uppers get-in now $3,393. Lower corners and lower ends are currently selling below the NFL’s face value.
