After losing my family member this past weekend due to some health complications, I have a renewed sense of purpose in helping wrangle my health. So here is my goal I want to share with yall. 1. Get my weight down to 300lbs (been holding at 430-440lbs the past few years) 2. Train to run a 5k. 3. Be able to sit in a seat on an airplane without a seatbelt extender. 4. Walk through the bus yard without getting winded. 5. Be off ALL of my insulin and blood pressure meds by Xmas! I want to break the stereotype of being Samoan and overweight so I begin this journey and want to bring yall with me! It’s not gonna happen overnight and the changes I need to make is going to take time to adjust but I am hopeful and optimistic! This is what my goal is to look like this! #mauithebusdriver #busdrivermaui

@KintsugiJin Thank you for your post. I’m in a very similar situation as the only church member in my family.I find comfort in the unity of the Saints as we watch #GeneralConference from around the world.The solemn assembly deeply moved me.

I love General Conference weekend, but it is also hard for me. For eight years, I have watched it alone. My family is not in the Church, though they support me. This year, with half my family in Japan, I feel that even more. Conference brings me closer to God, the gospel, and my faith, while also making me feel the distance from my family more deeply. That nearness to the divine reminds me of my eternal purpose and of how much I love and miss them. Still, I know I am not alone. Jesus Christ fills that space with His love and strength.
