I despise the current state of our country. The corporatization/monopolization/obsession with ever increasing efficiency and profits has torn apart our communities and brain rotted our nation. Everything’s become shittier. Everything. All the wealth and power is being siphoned up into fewer and fewer hands. The “good” winners of capitalism who drove a lot of innovation and growth for our country have cashed out—rational minds can be satiated. The current flag-bearers are the insatiable, corrupted super villains hell bent on extracting everything they can at the expense of humanity—and they’re only going to get worse. Evil is winning big. Its leaders are running away with our country. We sell out to these horrible people and corporations to survive. And if you don’t sell out, someone else will. Our world has become a bunch of bullshit. Our jobs are bullshit. We’re increasingly divided, isolated, undignified. Birth rates are decreasing, home ownership is decreasing, literacy rates are regressing, wages are stagnating while the cost of living increases. Social spaces are becoming ghost towns—arcades, malls, churches, movie theaters, parks, playgrounds. There’s no time. What are you doing to maximize shareholder value? Less time with your kids, more time for corporations. Grab your mobile order, watch your Netflix, and cope with the prospects of no future while our politicians insider trade. Talk to any boomer C-exec. Life used to be a lot easier. Do work, get paid, own house, raise family. Pizza Hut used to be booming. Parks. Socialization in society used to be a thing. There’s no time for any of that now. We’ve given all that power away. We gotta go get it back. Shit should make you irate. How do you get angry at each other on here and not the pedophile criminals in charge? Everything really does suck nowadays though.

People keep asking "what jobs will AI destroy?" Wrong question. Instead, ask what a brilliant 14-year-old in West Virginia can now do that he could never do before. Previously all his relatives went into the mine bc that was the only door open to them. He was largely doomed because of where he was born. A kid growing up in that same holler today can build an AI company from his bedroom. Think about what that actually means for opportunity in America. The Doomers are wrong. These new tools will make the system more meritocratic, more democratized, and more distributed than ever before.

Trying to explain this timeline to someone who woke up from a two decade coma would be impossible. You couldn’t do it.

Even if AI could solve every major problem humanity has (energy scarcity, cancer and disease, environmental issues, etc) — Why would anyone believe the vampires running things would ever allow that to happen? Our society is based on monetizing these problems, not solving them.

The only way the pro data center propaganda works if we travel back to 2016 and Big Tech didn’t censor real Americans. And then in 2020 during Covid, they didn’t protect China. But they did protect China. You couldn’t tell the truth about Covid. That is the reality.

You aren't anti-data center if you believe that it's time to setup a framework that ensures that people are prioritized over technology. There are a lot of accounts that I suspect are paid calling you low IQ or anti data center if you have reasonable concerns. Low IQ would be continuing like we are without any consideration of their impact on society and the environment and without a framework.

A few weeks in he's telling me it's a bit simpler than he feared it to be and now getting the hang of it. He's also been underwater since covid but seems a bit more hopeful now

Absolutely shocking that the general public is not embracing AI with open arms. Surely something that's actively marketed as the Machine That Steals Your Job, Ends Your Career, & Destroys Your Entire Livelihood, should be appealing to your average person!

These observations on the recent progress of AI -- from one of the most astute investors in all of history -- are important! I believe in serious AI regulations and guardrails, right away -- and I am also not some Luddite who doubts the potential.

I’ve been told by the Tech CEO’s that 80% of white collar jobs will be gone. Can’t sell human capital to nothing

@graceandaplomb1 @JordanSchachtel The effects of Covid was huge & devastating. However, you may be in a good position with AI. Understand what you “do” will not look the way it “did.” Everything will shift including the jobs you staff. Seek to understand your client’s needs. Find solutions.

@JordanSchachtel I’m doing this. I use AI tools to find candidates and frankly the programs suck. Again, if there are no jobs, I have no business. Appreciate your enthusiasm but when Tech CEO’s are out there telling people they will lose their jobs, how do you expect people to respond?
