I am very disappointed that a small group of misguided State Senators have partnered with Democrats to reject this opportunity to protect Hoosiers with fair maps and to reject the leadership of President Trump. Ultimately, decisions like this carry political consequences. I will be working with the President to challenge these people who do not represent the best interests of Hoosiers.

Going to have to dig into this, but this sounds likely to be unconstitutional at least in part. Certainly cannot preclude someone born in the US from attaining citizenship in another country, nor block their US citizenship if they also qualify for another country at birth.

Trump literally said Kimmel is next back in July! All of this is clearly pretextual. It's like having us believe Lisa Cook got fired because of a mortgage application. Other people can pretend to be that stupid, but you don't have to be.

Let’s make sure everyone understands the facts with Kimmel. As the right is trying to paint this as “at-will” termination. -Nextar the parent company of Kimmel’s show is seeking FCC approval for a merger. -Kimmel made comments about Trump on Monday night (months after Trump openly said he wanted to get Kimmel fired next) -Reporting is that Trump had the FCC lean on Nextar over these comments. -Apparently they expressly used the line “we can do this the easy way, or the hard way” -Multiple executives at the network have on background said they “had no issue with Kimmel’s statements but the Trump threat loomed” referring to the merger. This was *NOT* a network dissatisfied with Kimmel. This was *NOT* a network embarrassed or horrified by what Kimmel said. This was *NOT* a network that thought he was unfunny, or underperforming. This was *NOT* a company freely choosing to fire an employee. This was expressly the federal government weaponizing federal departments, in retribution for someone being critical of the President. This is LITERALLY what the 1st Amendment exists for. It does not protect you from private actions by private entities. It protects you from actions by the government to censor your speech. Whether brazen and direct, or through coercion and threat. This is not about if Kimmel was offensive or not. This is about speech.

Kimmel. Colbert. Suits against the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and 60 Minutes. Extorting settlements from CBS, ABC, and others. Blocking the AP's access to the White House. This administration is responsible for the most blatant attacks on the free press in American history. What will be left of the First Amendment when he’s done?

Let's be clear what just happened IN AMERICA: A comedian said something of which the President disapproved. In retaliation, the Administration threatened regulatory action against the comedian's TV network. To avoid retribution, the media company canceled the comedian's show.

I hope we all recognize that late night tv hosts are being held to a higher standard than our elected leaders and the current regime

@bryanbehar There is no outcry from the media because they have no moral certainty. They are entirely flexible. It isn't election season either, so they aren't focused on that. They're focused more on wedge issues that generate conflict. Conflict generates clicks, engagement, and ad revenue.

For me, the issue isn’t whether Trump is ill, per se. The issue is the absolute, moral certainty that media regarded “Biden’s physical unfitness to be President.” The circumstances around Trump’s health are, at least, as cagey and uncertain as Biden’s. Where’s the outcry?!

So not only is this show filmed in the same place as the movies and has near identical costumes to the movies but it’s also reusing cast members from the movies? Genuinely what’s the point of this?

@CaseyTimmons84 That's my whole point lol. Feel however about the trade but acting like this is a gotcha is just silly. We all knew it was part of the dance.

I say this with zero sarcasm or mean spirit- Did anybody really believe the back issue? Is anybody shocked it "cleared up"? Were we all not fully aware that it was part of the negotiation? Are we really acting shocked/surprised with this part of the story specifically?

Free advice for the administration: If you want to stop the Trump health coverage, maybe stop posting verifiably old videos and keeping him as far away from cameras as humanly possible

President Trump: Do you still believe the COVID vaccine was “one of the greatest achievements of mankind” that saved “tens of millions of lives” or do you believe RFK Jr., who claimed the COVID vaccine “was the deadliest vaccine ever made?” You can’t have it both ways.

Never forget that President Biden wasn't a petty jackass attacking states who didn't vote for him. He was a great, great President.
