@Retroldies Yes it actually felt like real physics at play rather than a football sticking to your boot! Made it difficult at first but very satisfying once you were used to it.

For many gamers (including me) Kick Off II wasn’t just another football game: it was one of the first that made you feel like you were truly controlling both the player and the ball, not merely steering an animation. Fantastic gameplay! Photo shot in my studio, A500

@Retroldies Uhh. No the game. 😂 When you kicked the ball you were able to apply a curve to it's flight. It was super cool.

MicroProse Soccer delivered arcade-style excitement—with surprising depth—on the humble Commodore 64. Pure nostalgic gold for retro football fans! If you're into Commodore gaming, it’s a must-play. Zzap!64 magazine rated it 90%: “The best overhead footy sim we've seen so far. Buy this and Emlyn Hughes and you've got the two best footy games on the 64.” But what did you think of it?

BEST C64 GAME COVERS (Part 2 of 5) My vote for the BEST DRAMATIC/INTENSE Commodore 64 cover would be THE LAST NINJA, with artwork by Hugh Riley. That piercing stare, the sweat on the brow, the blood-red ninja logo slicing across the black background — it’s pure tension in a single image. One of the most iconic and intimidating box arts on the C64. It doesn’t just show you the game, it dares you to step into the shadows. What Commodore 64 game cover do you vote for as the MOST DRAMATIC / INTENSE?

16 years ago today, Crystal Palace travelled to Sheffield Wednesday on the final day of the Championship season needing a point to survive relegation, having been given a 10 point deduction for going into administration in the January of 2010. The players, despite not having been paid a penny for 3 months continued to play for pure pride in the shirt and managed to get the all important 2-2 draw thanks to goals from Alan Lee and Darren Ambrose. That summer, CPFC2010 took over, having mobilised the fans to protest on the streets and stop the club from being liquidated. On Thursday night just gone, we won a European semi-final 3-1 away from home against Shakhtar in Krakow, having made it into Europe thanks to the FA Cup win in May of 2025; the first major trophy in the club’s entire history. The club is a totally different to the one we watched that day at Hillsborough but without the blood, sweat and tears of that group, none of what we’ve gone on to achieve would have been possible. ❤️💙

Kick Off 2 on Commodore Amiga – The Ultimate 16-Bit Football Classic! Released in 1990 by Anco Software and designed by Dino Dini, this is the game that defined Amiga football for a generation. Faster, deeper, and more addictive than the original Kick Off — still played competitively today! PLAY or MISS?

Watching England annihilate Wales isn’t much fun to be honest. It’s just sad. I’m an England supporter but what’s happened to Welsh rugby is awful 😢

🚨 UFO SHOCKWAVE on Fox News: David Grusch has dropped explosive allegations—claiming President Trump was FULLY BRIEFED on recovered non-human craft, “biologics,” and evidence of non-human intelligence. A decades-long cover-up… threats… secrecy… and now the story is cracking open. If true, Trump could trigger instant full disclosure with a single Executive Order. Imagine the legacy: the moment humanity learns it was never alone. 👽🛸 Is the world finally on the edge of the truth? Repost if you want TRANSPARENCY NOW. #ufoX #uap #Trump

X-Copy, the most essential tool of any Amiga user back in the day. The sound teleports me right back. Oh, those sweet green zeros... followed by the grinding noise at the end and the iconic BOIIIING! And if X-Copy failed (very rare), you still had Burstnibbler... what a name! 😂

Well, it's not a LEGENDARY ride, nor is it a very good one, maybe it's not even good, but at least it's my own 😎 It's always good to return to this game, even if only for a moment 🤔 🕹️ Stunt Car Racer (1989), Amiga

@AIandDesign @oldyzach If it was only 10 fps it's the best 10 fps I've ever played. I felt every bump as that damage crack slowly crept across that top roll bar!

@oldyzach Isn't it crazy how at the time we were perfectly happy with getting like 10fps in a game? 🤣

Congratulations to producer James Fox AND all the courageous witnesses who have come forward will be speaking out a Press Conference in Washington DC, on the reality of NHI visiting our planet, January 20! We don’t need our government to disclose it. Please retweet.
