🟡 Barry Town United have announced the return of versatile midfielder Amy Long, who rejoins from Cardiff City. Long was part of the Cardiff City side that won the Bute Energy Welsh Cup at the end of the 2025/26 campaign, and was a key player in various positions for The Bluebirds, primarily at left back whilst in the capital.

@HarryWare07 The 'when it's ready' comment is frustrating from Noel Maybe he doesn't realise the subsequent knock on consequences, delays to league structure/ pyramid. Missing the spring date means we will be in 28/29 season before any changes take place?

Appreciate the comments underneath this but the fact it's taken this long for any transparency is staggering when a clear public deadline was missed. This process started over a year ago, and it's taken until mid June for anything.

Spring 26 would have meant leagues updated 27/28 However, with season starting soon, it means any changes won't be in place until 28/29 U really need better staff. They continuously let you down in the womens pathway.

@HarryWare07 It will be interesting to see how or if Cardiff can fill their gaps over summer.

Just catching up on everything today, and this feels big. An incredible season and a massive presence in that Cardiff City backline is Nieve Rowbottom. For the first time in a long time, it feels like Cardiff and Swansea have a lot of gaps to fill this summer, with players leaving and retiring. An exciting summer ahead!

As I make my way back to Cymru for my final game of 2025/26, the past week has allowed me to reflect on my proudest season to date:  Years of research, which continues as we speak, was shown to many on Football Manager 26, with the Adran Premier being selected, amongst several elite leagues across the world, in the first inclusion of women’s football in the game. The research towards FM27 has been in progress ever since.  I mention the FM work a lot, but history and accuracy means a lot to me. It’s something I’ve dedicated the last six years to, even dropping my education to focus on it. It’s not something which probably looked the correct call at the time, but it’s the best decision I've ever made.  I wanted this to be as perfect as possible, and it was a proud moment to see it all come to life, and to be only getting better and better by the day.  Financially supporting clubs and players was the best decision I made this season. Seeing the impact any form of support has is an incredible feeling. Thank you to all clubs and players for allowing me to be a small part of so many incredible stories. I've already had positive discussions with different clubs on ways to be able to support next season, with a lot of exciting announcements to come on those.  Being back involved with Cymru Sport and being able to use my knowledge even further has been incredible. The support on the podcast and all the different content surrounding women’s football in Wales has been amazing, and to gain so much insight from so many people has put the spotlight on domestic football. From Adran Premier champions to new clubs forming, we’ve had over 40 people involved with the game come on the show. The whole pyramid means a lot to me, and to be able to cover every corner of that has been a lot of fun!  On a final note, to everyone I’ve had the pleasure of meeting, all the players and coaches that make every second of this worth it, and to all the clubs I’ve visited and made to feel welcome, diolch. Let’s keep pushing in 2026/27.

I'm guessing that after Faw pulled N U19s for next season, TNS & CQ thought why bother trying to fulfil outstanding fixtures? Either way, FAW has destroyed what was a highly competitive, well supported South U19s competition.

Got to feel sorry for all these young footballers being messed around by the cut to the u19 north league. Hope they find clubs.

@the_nomads Having watched most South teams and the game today, I would suggest that overall, you would be a top 5 team??? The North is just nowhere near as competitive as the South, removing the N U19s will make divide bigger.
