How to get a free $1,500 from the IRS if you have any self-employment income: - Open a Solo 401k plan - Find a provider that can enable automatic contributions in the plan document - File for the Eligible Automatic Contributions Arrangements (EACA) tax credit This makes you eligible for a $500 tax credit for 3 years = $1,500 total The best part? - You don't even have to automatically contribute every month - You can create an election to override this and still get the tax credit Since this is a tax credit, this is a dollar-for-dollar reduction in your taxes (unlike a tax deduction) You can also carry it forward for up to 20 years if you have to! You are eligible for this even if: - You don't have a formal business (you can use your SSN) - You have a full-time W2 job in addition to your side hustle - You already have an existing Solo 401k plan elsewhere (you can restate your plan with a EACA-friendly provider) Here's exactly how to file for the credit: - Set up a new Solo 401k plan with an EACA provision. If you have an existing plan, restate your plan with a provider that has this feature. - Use IRS Form 8881 and attach it to your business return - If you don't have a business return, you can attach it to your Schedule C 3 days left if you want to claim this tax credit for 2025!

I was working on a feature that required me to do some Stripe testing, and I hadn't seen the code in awhile. The webhook wasn't working locally and I couldn't remember why. I asked @AmpCode to remind me how it worked and it made this Mermaid chart. Bonkers. Amp + Opus 4.5 is the biggest unlock I've ever experienced as a founder and dev. Imagine trying to ask another dev to patiently explain this and draw a diagram?!

Me and my amazing sisters in Colorado where we grew up (and our pup Cody!) We meet up every year for a meetup (no partners or kids) and we have a phone call every week. Family is for life. So grateful to have these women in my life. They helped me get through some dark days.
