For all the talk of preferring small landlords, they can’t make ends meet if they can never evict tenants who refuse to pay.
JLG was one of only three NO votes on modest legislation to fix this—she didn’t want to make it any easier remove tenants who refuse to pay.

🚨 The Safeway at Hechinger Mall is expected to close May 16. Employees have been notified and the pharmacy may close April 1. With the DC Streetcar closing March 31, we’re working with the city and property management to understand next steps and will share updates soon.

@brhodes I have no insight into AIPAC's overall strategy here, but when I was a consultant to some pro-choice groups, I (unsuccessfully) advocated for using issues other than abortion to try to defeat pro-life candidates, believing that voters weren't singularly focused on the issue.

Elections have consequences. If you don’t like how the current ANC Commissioner (who won in an uncontested election in 2024) is trying to push a local business out of the neighborhood because of “daytime outdoor cafe noise,” you should consider/encourage a friend to run in November 2026.
