Crowds have started to gather outside the Old Bailey this morning in support of both the SOAS 2 and the Filton 25 defendant's who are on trial this week. Sarah from the SOAS 2 is inside where the jury are expected to go out for deliberations today, and hopefully return a verdict of not guilty before the end of the day. Activists have been present all week outside court to support Sarah as the government tries to bring a flimsy prosecution against her for a speech she made at her university in 2023 in which they allege she showed support for a proscribed organisation.
The terrorism act is being used as it was always intended - to stifle justified and legitimate criticism that the government finds uncomfortable.

It’s more than a little ironical that Genocide only became a crime (in International law) after the Second World War and the Holocaust that Jewish people suffered at the hands of the Nazis…..and now Israel, the Jewish state - is itself committing Genocide, on the Palestinian people. This latest in a string of independent reports paints a dark picture - deliberate targeting of children (with weapons), torture of children and sexual abuse of children. That last one is shocking where shock seems to be no longer possible. For how much longer will the West stand by and do nothing, Israel is a cancer in the Middle East - under its current leadership - it flouts all legal and moral conventions, a truly foul regime. We need sanctions now, as we had against South Africa as we have had against Iran and as we have against Russia - for far less in the way of crimes against humanity. We need to end the double standards. Israel must be stopped.
