The reckless campaign against Iran will weaken America’s president. That will make him angry. Be warned: he makes a very bad loser econ.st/4lA7lEQ

Trump: “Larry, it looks like Netflix is gonna get Warner Bros., but if you really really want it, Larry, I’ll make sure you get it.” If the president really said this — as alleged — it’s smoking-gun corruption. And possible cause for a criminal probe.

A declaration of no quarter is an explicit violation of Article 23 of the Hague Convention and therefore a war crime under U.S. law, specifically the War Crimes Act of 1996. And there is no statute of limitations.
Acyn@Acyn

Hegseth: No quarter, no mercy for our enemies. Yet some in the press just can't stop. More fake news from CNN reports that the Trump administration underestimated the Iran war's impact on the strait of hormuz. The sooner David Ellison takes over that network, the better.

NEW -- This kind of slipped under the radar this morning, but our secretary of defense casually threatened Iranians with "no quarter." Those words mean a specific thing, and that thing is a war crime. huffpost.com/entry/hegseth-…

Secretary Hegseth lacks the emotional maturity for this job. He is incapable of explaining the American position without being belligerent, and he is acting surprised that the things he was presumably briefed would happen are happening.

In 24 hours, Republicans have blocked FIVE attempts from Democrats to fund TSA, FEMA, our cyber defenses, & Coast Guard while talks continue to rein in ICE & Border Patrol. Republicans are holding TSA agents' paychecks hostage so they can give more $ to ICE, with no reforms.

‘Hey’ came before ‘hi,’ and ‘hi' came before ‘hello.’ ‘Hi’ is most likely a variant of ‘hey.’ ‘Hello’ is not related to either. Goodbye.

JD Vance, who has repeatedly attacked me and other journalists on this website as he so much time on his hands, has gone almost completely dark on here because he doesn’t want to get asked about Iran and how Trump has totally undermined him and made him look a hypocrite on Iran.
Home of the Brave@OfTheBraveUSA

Vance: "When people like Kamala Harris send our sons and daughters, our young people, to fight in stupid wars, it is the young generation that carries the burden of that. We're gonna stop sending our young people to far away lands. We are not the policemen of the world."

There are only 4 possible scenarios. 4th is the best option for humanity & the one Trump would rather die than accept. 1. Trump admits defeat & leaves Iran. Global power shifts clearly to China and Russia 2. Trump conducts a ground invasion. USA will lose. Potentially millions killed. Likely global war erupts. 3. Israel & USA use nuclear weapons. Definite global war erupts. Potentially billions killed. 4. Trump resigns or is impeached and actual peace negotiations begin. Praying for Option 4.

This is well worth consideration. There is reporting that the FBI isn't being permitted to issue warnings on potential terrorism issues in CONUS & its antiterrorism personnel have been cut significantly.
Timothy Snyder@TimothyDSnyder

A purpose of the war on Iran might well be to provoke a terrorist attack inside the United States. This would provide Donald Trump with a pretext to try to cancel or “federalize” the coming Congressional elections. snyder.substack.com/p/the-desire-f…
