If they wanted to demonstrate, wouldn’t they have prayed at the front entrance and not around the corner and down the block? Truly Islamophobia fries brain cells. Muslims pray facing Mecca, so this must be East. Someone can literally find this school on Google Maps and check if they’re facing Mecca. That’s it. It’s just a building.

This is an ALL GIRLS Jewish school in my district. I’m all for prayer and free speech, but why do a bunch of GROWN MEN need to do this right outside of a school full of little Jewish girls??? Is not this what MOSQUES are for? Is this intentional? Mayor Mamdani @NYCMayor any words of wisdom on why all of a sudden they’d feel compelled to do this?

@DavidShuster @nytimes @NickKristof You have taken single statements by Israel and echoed them as fact. Yet when evidence accumulates that Israel has committed atrocities, you dismiss or downplay it. For you, Palestinians are never anything other than deserving enemies or disposable others. It’s deeply sick.

Hearing from longtime friends @nytimes there are already discussions, including up the masthead, about retracting @NickKristof column. Issues with source credibility and lack of evidence. No indications the Kristof sourcing mistakes were deliberate. Still problematic:

He definitely should NOT apologize if the government is calling for his firing. That would mean he is rolling over for the government and doing so under duress and be a total violation of the First Amendment.
David Axelrod@davidaxelrod

I like @jimmykimmel. He's funny & courageous at a time when there has been too much cowardice. That said, this WAS a tasteless joke. The WH will use any issue to demand he be fired because his satire touches a nerve, and ABC is right to resist. But he'd be right to apologize.

@piersmorgan Glad the guy has found religion if, in fact, that’s what he finds meaningful. But plenty of religious people do live television interviews without praying like this. Brand’s whole Christian journey seems so public and showy and, as a result, inauthentic.

I knew my Russell Brand interview would be an interesting experience when he insisted on saying a prayer for both of us before we started.

@PiersUncensored @piersmorgan @ValentinaForUSA Piers, in December 2025, after this vile woman appeared on your show, you vowed not to invite her back unless she won the GOP primary for Texas’s 31st Congressional District. She lost badly. Why do you still platform and legitimize her?

@ThomasSKidd I'm not following your reasoning. How, Constitutionally speaking, is it a good decision to allow a state to *require* schools to display the Ten Commandments?

@dmesg @fatima__m7md @Tracking_Power I’ve outlined the timeline, which is clear. And my initial point stands: the Obama Administration sold these weapons to Saudi, later blocked them, and the Trump Administration authorized the Dahyan strike. The original post, blaming Obama, is misleading at best, false at worse.

@dmesg @fatima__m7md @Tracking_Power Obama’s administration approved the sale as part of a $1.29 billion arms package in 2015. After an air strike on a funeral hall in 2016, his administration blocked a pending transfer of PGMs. In March 2017, Trump reversed the block, and in August 2018, the Dahyan strike occurred.

“Obama sent” is a strange phrase, given that Trump was president in August 2018 when this airstrike occurred. The Obama Administration is guilty of *many* things, including the sale of these weapons to Saudi in 2015. But this particular clam is untrue.
Fatima Mohammed@fatima__m7md

aw this is so cute. speaking of buses do you all remember when Obama sent a 500-pound, laser-guided MK-82 bomb to hit a school bus in Yemen, killing 40 children on their way to a field trip.
