@MilesMangrum @Tina_otoge @Merrydawg Work that could have been given to an actual artist was taken so something did happen, or you mean the trickle down effect to developers? we don't know, you nor I work at Capcom to know what bussiness practices they will implement in the future, but we can complain to stop them.

I've seen a lot of people condemning capcom on my timeline recently, and I want to say a few words. On the matter of the suspected AI usage on Diana's vtuber model, please remember that game companies/developers aren't always in charge of marketing, and teams can often be huge. It is possible that someone along the chain of production used an AI filter without proper approval. Pragmata is an excellent game, and Capcom has done an amazing job. They also have no history of using AI as far as I am aware. Let's not do the internet thing of assuming malice immediately, based on nothing.

Gotta use AI for something. Had an AI agent estimate the Apple and Amazon listens Cry for Me from Ironmouse might have based on available numbers and data elsewehere. I had to remind the AI of a few facts it kept forgetting, but after adjustments I like the results.

@nabiruworks Sad to see how the kids have subverted the term. Factually it means playing a RPG character in a RPG irl event where all characters are using actual costumes, props, ideally in a themed set and are acting out their character within a storyline set by the organizers of the event.

@TheAndyCortez To me it's not the tech, it's how they mishandled its tuning by making most surfaces too shiny for it to be 'believable' in the environment's context. The tech itself works great.

it feels like some people saw a couple of underwhelming screenshots of Pragmata and decided that path-tracing is the death of art and art direction or something. i dont think those screenshots were great either but this shit looks amazing with path-tracing.
