@soulsilverart Like, no hate for anyone who enjoys them, these things just bug me from a design perspective.

@soulsilverart And this is actually something I dislike about those megas. Doubly with Raichu, as his Y design is literally Just Mega Pikachu with raichu’s colors. I’m happy his X form is pretty dang close to perfect for me, but I think we shouldn’t have the double megas at all anyway.

There is ONE main rule that GameFreak seem to be sticking with concerning Mega Evolution: ONLY fully evolved Pokémon can Mega Evolve/Pokémon that cannot evolve further. So pre-evos CANNOT Mega Evolve. And they stressed this point even more in ZA,while still making a loophole,by making the Mega Evos of the final stages essentially becoming Megas of their previous stages! We now have: -Mega Pikachu -Mega Glimmet -Mega Chingling -Mega Totodile So in a way, pre-evos can Mega Evolve now…and I wonder if we’ll see more deliberate ones like Raichu Y in the future?
