@maidfordeath @mokapotmaks Warden isn't that bad honestly. It's a bit unusual but it's a fully serviceable adult name. Taintly though, someone needs to go to prison.

@U1TR4F0RCE @Neo_Kaiser @BitterCRZDLoner Every single time I've ever seen a panel with moon girl in it she has come across as the most obnoxious little shit ever written. I hate child genius characters because they're all written like that and she's one of the worst I've ever seen.

@SkarlonYGO on a scale of -10 to +10, with +10 being a deck you main the techs for because it's THE deck of the format, and -10 being irrelevant in serious competitive discussion, this post claims that Dracotail dropped 16 points, going from somewhere around +8 or +9 to -6 or -7

Classic Puzzle. "The horseshoe shown has 6 holes for nails. Using 2 straight-line blows, can you chop it into 6 parts with a hole in each?" Adapted from "The Moscow Puzzles: 359 Mathematical Recreations" by Boris Kordemsky. This is a classic and highly popular collection of 359 math and logic puzzles, first published in the Soviet Union in 1956 and later translated into English, notably by Albert Parry and edited by Martin Gardner.

@McCrackenHQ @engineers_feed It is very common for people to assert the principals of math and science without ever actually being able to demonstrate they comprehend the principals they're alluding to at a functional level. Fascinating you consider me "asking a question" as "talking out my ass"

@nellbell111 @histories_arch 21st century hole punches are ancient tech. Hint, metal gets soft when it's hot. Blacksmiths have used punches for millennia and you can make one to do that specific task in about 30 minutes.

The 3,000-year-old "Cairo Toe," discovered in Egypt, showcases the advanced medical and craftsmanship skills of ancient civilizations, serving as one of the oldest functional prostheses in history. In the necropolis of Sheikh 'Abd el-Qurna, west of Luxor, Egypt, archaeologists uncovered a remarkable artifact that offers a glimpse into the ingenuity of ancient Egyptian medicine and craftsmanship: the Cairo Toe, a prosthesis dating back approximately 3,000 years. The prosthesis, found attached to the remains of a woman believed to be the daughter of an ancient priest, is considered one of the oldest functional prosthetic devices ever discovered. Made from a combination of materials, likely including wood and leather, the toe was designed with extraordinary precision, adjusted multiple times to ensure a perfect fit for the wearer. This discovery highlights not only the advanced anatomical knowledge of ancient Egyptians but also their dedication to both functionality and aesthetics. The prosthesis was crafted to look natural, reflecting the cultural importance placed on appearance and dignity, even in cases of physical disability. The ability to walk comfortably with such a device underscores the level of expertise achieved by Egyptian artisans and medical practitioners. The Cairo Toe is more than an isolated artifact—it represents the ancient Egyptians' holistic approach to medicine, their technical sophistication, and their deep understanding of the human body. This extraordinary prosthesis provides a powerful testament to the civilization’s commitment to improving the quality of life for its people, even in an era long before modern medical advancements. #archaeohistories

@Jimhall34779690 @forallcurious 0. Fusion doesn't use radioactive material. Worst thing that can happen is the approximate 2-3 grams of hydrogen and helium in the reactor leaking out through a pinprick leak and burning someone's face off before disappearing harmlessly into the surrounding air.
