I did this exercise maybe two seasons ago, but I believe that '05-'06 group is the only UC team this century to rank in the top 100 in free throw percentage. Cincinnati hasn't finished inside the top 200 since '18-'19. @TeachHoopsBBall A lot of coaches don’t put the effort in the lower grades. Feeder schools etc. and coaching is absolutely terrible to. It’s hard to watch. If you are a Varsity coach you have to develop minimum at 6th grade to have a successful program

The number of girls playing high school basketball is a crisis no one is talking about. Programs are drying up. Teams can barely fill their rosters. We can't grow this game if we can't get kids to believe it's worth their time. What are programs doing to fix this?

@Gmoneyri @DanWolken Elite coaches cause they get all the talent. There are top coaches elsewhere it’s just unfortunate a lot of kids don’t want to do the Clark path. Stay home and build something. WBB is almost unwatchable it’s the same 4 teams every year. Boring.

@DanWolken it’s a combo of nil, elite coaches at few schools and no real competition to steal players. Compared to the men the pros aren’t taking the top girls out the game early so the girls get to develop at all schools. Theres less chance at a sr team knocking off a young talented squad

It’s not getting talked about much, but after it seemed like parity was creeping into the women’s game, the same four teams making the Final Four this year and smashing everyone in the tournament is interesting. NIL creating a big gap?
