@cwjroberts @VanIsleInvestor I think it’s phrased poorly. $16 without buybacks, double with buybacks?

The Notwithstanding Clause is integral to the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and an unassailable provincial constitutional right. Alberta Premier Peter Lougheed insisted it be included to protect the autonomy of provinces to uphold the values and priorities of the people they represent from decisions of activist courts. In Alberta, we have used it carefully and lawfully to stand up for the parental right to be involved in their children’s lives, to protect children so they can make important health decisions as adults, to ensure fairness in sport, and to keep students learning in the classroom. We are extremely disappointed that Minister Sean Fraser would risk national unity and a foundational principle of our constitution by attempting to attack the use of the notwithstanding clause by sovereign provincial governments.

🛑#Iran #Iraq #Oil My prediction from two days ago has unfortunately come true: Iraq is now reducing its oil production because storage facilities are reaching full capacity. Cuts are underway at major fields like Rumaila, Maysan, and West Qurna 2

🔴This is from a week ago: analysts warn that if Iranian leaders come to believe the survival of the regime itself is genuinely at risk, they could adopt a high-risk “me and my enemies” posture. In such a scenario, Tehran might move to attack oil tankers in or near the Strait of Hormuz and strike oil infrastructure in neighboring countries. The result could be a sharp and sustained spike in global oil prices, potentially reaching levels not seen in modern history. Cutting off "arms" and clipping "claws"... Iran's preferred scenario open.substack.com/pub/anasalhajj…
