Believe me or not, due to my long break and the whims of X algo, currently with 2700+ followers, my reach is similar to someone with 270. And with 3500+ it was even worse. So I'm doing all kinds of stuff to get the reach back. A part of that effort is the cleanup of accounts I follow and who follow me. Especially those inactive for ages, or who don't engage with me anymore. Which is totally natural, as our interests change over time, and I'm not the nicest to be around either. I've already removed around a thousand followers and I'll do even more in the upcoming weeks. I still try to keep those I care about - people I have fond memories of from out meetings or discussions, even if we haven't engaged since forever. But despite going through each account separately, my memory is fuzzy, esp when I don't connect the dots between your X presence and other places. So if we haven't been in touch in a long while, but you want to make sure I won't cut you out by accident, please do tell me here. I'll put you on my safelists, or even better, let's just get back in touch. I'll keep reposting this from time to time, so let me say sorry for that, and thanks for understanding. <3

@MartinTale Happens to me very often when I forget to click the like before I start writing the reply. I often come back to do this when I notice later. And at times, I just don't like the post enough.

I'm 99.9% convinced that anyone who leaves a reply but doesn't like the post is a bot 🤖😅 Like it's illogical for a human to do that, right? 😅

After all the romance in the latest @dunemovie trailer, I needed to deromancify myself. Don't take me wrong. I love romance stories, I even write them myself. I just... like sandworms more? Created this new project a week ago and already the number of files in the project root is dizzying.

Lots of accounts on X that just repost and do nothing else. That was true even in Twitter times. Still remember when I met some guy on Vue London conference and he introduces himself to me. And I go "hey, you're the one who reposts my tweets everyday". X algo is supposedly limiting their reach already, and the word is that it looks bad at people who follow them. As it treats it as a bot-like behavior. Reposting works nicely to share content with own followers of reposter, but from I remember reading (which also can be wrong), it doesn't affect the reach of original post itself much.

true, lower weight of bad replies either short or ai For recommended, would be what you interacted with before, I think reposting conent should have a big impact on recommendation algo, but im just a spectator in this social media world and a ultra tiny creator in this space so my opinion means little here LOL

The Gemini app just got another solid update. While using the mic button, it won’t cut off when you pause.

With shorter content, I often don't even turn the volume on, or let it play very quiet just for the vibe. It's great not only for people with weaker language skills or hearing problems like me. It works great for any setting when there are people around me, as often I can't go on headphones.

people are much more likely to watch + continue to watch your video when it has subtitles burnt in just saying
