Trump's disastrous Iran War is four weeks old and the Strait of Hormuz is still CLOSED. This was totally foreseeable and yet Trump had no plan - and still has no plan - to deal with this crisis. Oil companies will do fine with higher prices. But you're getting screwed.

Trump has had endless opportunities to end this TSA nightmare and he has refused EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. The top Senate Republican went to Trump this weekend, deal in hand to fund every part of the government except for ICE. It had Republican and Democratic support. Trump killed it. Why? Because Donald Trump doesn’t think Republicans can win the midterms without making it harder for you to vote, so he’s holding TSA workers’ paychecks hostage to pass the SAVE Act. There is no documented crisis of noncitizens voting. Republicans invented one. Noncitizen voting is already a federal crime, and it has been for decades. This bill should be called exactly what it is: the SAVE REPUBLICANS Act. So while TSA workers go without paychecks, Trump’s answer is to flood airports with ICE agents who have no screening training, no TSA authority, and no business being there. Democrats are ready to fund TSA, and we always have been. Trump is the only reason this isn’t over.

Why are ICE agents coming to airports? Because GOP blocked 6 different bills that would have opened TSA. They won’t fund TSA unless we give ICE unlimited funds and impunity. This is the GOP’s mess.

Trump just said the quiet part out loud. He told Republicans to block a deal that would pay TSA agents, so he could force the SAVE Act through. I hope TSA workers realize Trump is holding their paychecks hostage.

And within minutes they made more money than most Americans will earn in a thousand lifetimes. In a single trade. On a war that cost you $4+ a gallon gas and $16 billion in tax dollars. American citizens funded this war. Politicians are profiting from it. This is not the first time. Every major announcement from this administration has had massive suspicious trades right before it dropped. Tariff reversals. Policy shifts. War decisions. This is the most blatant insider trading operation in the history of American politics. It’s not even close. And it’s happening over and over in broad daylight. You would go to federal prison for trading on a tip from your cousin. These people are front running war decisions with billion dollar bets and nobody will ever ask a single question. Nobody will be investigated. Nobody will be charged. By tomorrow this will be buried under the next satisfying headline. Just like last time. And the time before that. The game is rigged. @SenMarkKelly Largely agree, but we can't forget that @SenateGOP and @HouseGOP have abdicated their Constitutional duty to serve as checks and balances. If they weren't such cowards they would tell Trump this is in the best interests of Americans and pay the TSA.

The chaos at airports could end today but there is one person singlehandedly blocking the effort to get paychecks to TSA: Donald Trump. He refuses to accept a deal and would rather leave Americans standing in lines for hours.

Long lines at airports are because of Trump. Rising gas prices are because of Trump. America is losing jobs because of Trump. Families are falling further into debt because of Trump. America's continuing decline is because of Trump. And 38% of Americans refuse to admit it because that requires admitting they made a mistake in supporting Trump.
