A Brief Story The impact of the global pandemic was underestimated by most Western governments including Canada. The response was mismanaged, first with laissez-faire measures, disbelief and denial, then by panic buying and public health measures including lockdowns in 2020.

The amazing @DrSamiraJeimy and I collaborated on a post because we are both tired of seeing the term ‘immunity debt’ being thrown around. We also get into why we are seeing a record number of pediatric hospitalizations, so stick with us. 🧵(1/8)

THREAD. Two Harvard professors published an academic article calling for 500,000 more armed cops, who they say will arrest 7.8 million more people per year. The article reveals alarming flaws in elite academia at a time of rising fascism. This is one of my most important posts.

Recently I learned about a man who has trained 1,000+ people to block wind and solar projects. I read through all his training materials, presentations, and seminars. Here's what I learned about him and how his students plan to "win the war on clean energy." 🧵

1/ As people flee Twitter, or threaten to, in response to Elon’s takeover and the harassment it has already spawned and likely will bc of less content moderation, there are some things I’ve noticed. Please follow this thread and share it. It’s sorta important…

Most common interviewer feedback I hear on the hiring side: “The candidate didn’t directly answer the question.” So simple, and so devastating. Answer interview questions directly *first*, then add context. Think about structure. Tell a story!

after reading those articles about Gen Z and emoji, does anyone else feel concerned about passive aggressive undertones when leaving 👍 feedback in Figma?

If you show frustration or anger through: sighing, giving the silent treatment, or making sarcastic comments—this is a passive aggressive communication style. You might say “I’m fine” when asked if you’re upset. Here’s why 🧵:

@jw Also though: more demand will drive a market for new experiences and more great chefs. Which doesn’t mean it won’t be more expensive still, but the supply is at least elastic.
