All things were made through God the Son - the heavens, the earth and everything in them. God the Son then came to earth as man and subjected Himself to His own law. No one can claim God does not understand what it's like to be human. He reveals all these things in the Bible.

I've read the writings of the church fathers, who were the disciples of the apostles, and they explained the faith pretty clearly.

Who possesses the authority to definitively interpret Scripture? Did Christ leave behind a Church with authority to teach in His name, or did He leave Christianity to be reconstructed by competing private interpretations 1,500 years later?

Another stumbling stone. So am I now protesting Baptists? This is why I say I’m not Protestant. Bible is prime. That’s it. I’m denomination neutral.

What I’m to obey isn’t hard to understand from infallibly written scripture. I don’t try to find purgatory in scripture because someone says it’s there.

Most would find a different church if they did this. I could say the same thing about many other churches. So no. I am not Protestant.

I identify as a disciple of Christ, not as a member of a particular denomination. I don’t believe disciples of Christ are only in Churches of Christ. Some can attend other denominations.

Each congregation is similar to the first century churches with elders & deacons chosen according to scripture.

Who is to decide who is right and who is wrong? Scripture is a book and doesn't interpret itself.
