This GitHub incident is insane. Merge queue commits have been reverting previously merged commits at random. This not only breaks the mental contract teams have with Git in general, but is subtle enough to be really hard to unravel after the fact. githubstatus.com/incidents/zsg1…

Well. The hacker is literally laughing while Discord just…hands over the keys to my account/server.
I’ve never seen a company so incompetent as Discord in all my years on the internet.
Now we’re going to have to figure out what next steps to rebuild our community :(

1/ Recently an unnamed source shared data exfiltrated from an internal North Korean payment server containing 390 accounts, chat logs, crypto transactions.
I spent long hours going through all of it, none of which has ever been publicly released.
It revealed an intricate ~$1M/month scheme of fraudulent identities, forged legal documents, and crypto-to-fiat conversion.

Face ID DOES NOT mean uploading biometric data to Reddit or some Highly Reputable Israeli Company
it just means doing biometric verification on your phone where the data is already stored locally
